Suggested correction: It's not a blood pack. It's Karl's blade.

Game of Thrones mistake picture

Dark Wings, Dark Words - S3-E2

Continuity mistake: When Brienne of Tarth is facing off against Jaime Lannister on the bridge, in a shot from behind the blade is angled upwards, not touching her arm, then in the immediate next shot from the front the blade is now lying along her arm.

The Rains of Castamere - S3-E9

Continuity mistake: At the climax of the Red Wedding massacre, Robb crawls towards his dead wife Talisa from the direction of the doors, which are at the opposite side from Walder Frey's throne. Robb turns Talisa onto her back from her left side (ie. he is on the right hand side of her body), and looks down at her face. This means that Talisa is lying in such a way that, if facing Walder's throne, her head is on the right and her feet on the left, towards where Catelyn is holding Walder's wife hostage and pleading for Robb's life. However, when Walder refuses, Robb has changed position and is now on the left side of Talisa's body, which is presumed to be facing the same direction as before as there is no reason for it to have changed. Robb then turns towards Catelyn who is still on the left side of the room (if facing from The Door), and is stabbed by Roose Bolton. As Robb collapses to his death, looking directly at Catelyn, he lands next to Talisa, whose head is now closest to Catelyn with her feet facing the other way, meaning that her body has somehow rotated by 180° in a matter of seconds. This is an especially bad mistake considering that several people have claimed the Red Wedding was completed in one take, which is not possible if this error exists unless Oona Chaplin for some reason decided out of boredom to play spin the bottle with her own body while out of shot, which would have interfered with Richard Madden's position anyway. Walk of Punishment - S3-E3

Revealing mistake: At the beginning of the episode, Robb and Blackfish Tully are pushing Hoster Tully's funeral boat down the river. When they climb back onto the dock, there is already a trail of water going from the steps and ending where Robb ends up standing. None of the other characters standing on this portion of the dock have wet clothes, meaning none of them went into the river, indicating that the trail of water was from previous takes.

Mhysa - S3-E10

Joffrey: I am the king! I will punish you.
Tywin: Any man who must say "I am the king" is no true king.

A Golden Crown - S1-E6

Trivia: The horse heart that Daenerys eats was actually made of gelatin, and genuinely tasted dreadful - her physical revulsion at eating it is real. It had dyed pasta to simulate veins, and was injected with fake sugary blood, which attracted flies. The blood was so sticky and ended up covering Emilia Clarke to such an extent that after filming it glued her to the toilet seat.

Season 1 generally

Question: Why is Khal Drogo willing to give Viserys an army in exchange for Daenerys? Until she is almost poisoned, he seems to have no real interest in The Iron Throne or the Targaryen dynasty, considering how she has to beg him to cross the Narrow Sea. Why didn't he just marry a native Dothraki woman?

Answer: This is explained more in the book. Khal Drogo and his bloodriders do intend to help Viserys take the throne, however they do things in their own time. This is what causes Viserys's frustration. In the book, Illyrio Mopatis tells Viserys that he has already waited his entire life to claim The Iron Throne and that waiting a few more years isn't that big of a deal. The Dothraki are a nomadic tribe, which is largely why they have no interest in invading and sacking King's Landing. However, since Khal Drogo eventually grows to love Dany, her assassination attempt by the Westerosi compels him to seek revenge.
