Snow Falls - S1-E3

Visible crew/equipment: When the horse carriage is ambushed, just as Princess Abigail can be heard screaming "Please, help me", the camera pans downward and a horse wrangler wearing a blue baseball cap can be seen in the lower left hand corner, hiding behind one of the horses. (00:03:20)

Pilot - S1-E1

Visible crew/equipment: After Emma and Henry meet Archie in the streets of Storybrooke, as Emma opens and closes her car door, a reflection of a white lighting screen and a camera can be seen on the door. (00:17:00)

Desperate Souls - S1-E8

Revealing mistake: After the scene with Emma and Henry at the playground, there is a wide shot of Storybrooke Main Street. As the camera pans down, in the upper right hand corner, you can see the clock tower, but without the top two stories (the top two layers of the clock tower, including the clock, are CGI). (00:06:15)

Dreamy - S1-E14

Continuity mistake: When Bossy is cutting Dreamy's beard, Dreamy asks "Who was the woman I saw?" and Bossy stops cutting, but a couple of shots later, Dreamy's beard is suddenly much shorter. (00:10:00)

The Stranger - S1-E20

Revealing mistake: In the very first shot of Emma and August on the motorcycle, you can see the faces of Jennifer Morrison's and Eion Bailey's stunt doubles. (00:20:25)

The Stranger - S1-E20

Continuity mistake: There's a flashback to the life of young Pinocchio, played by brown-eyed Jakob Davies. But adult Pinocchio, Eion Bailey, has striking bright-blue eyes. It's possible that a blue-eyed child may grow up to have brown eyes, but the opposite does not happen.

The Price of Gold - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: When Sheriff Graham pulls in front of Emma in a police car, the big sign on the storefront behind Emma says "Storybrooke Coffee Co." However, as Graham gets out of the car, you can see a circular sign on the side of the building, which says "Steveston Coffee Co"; Steveston is the Canadian town which doubles as the backdrop for the town of Storybrooke on Once Upon a Time. (00:05:30)

Dreamy - S1-E14

Character mistake: In the evening, Emma states that Kathryn Nolan has been missing for 24 hours, meaning that this episode takes place the day after Kathryn disappeared. When Emma investigates Kathryn's car, David tells Emma that he last spoke to Kathryn "yesterday afternoon" (and stresses that he is telling the truth), and that he hasn't spoken to her since he ended their relationship. However, "What Happened to Frederick" establishes that David broke up with Kathryn the day before she tried to leave town and disappeared, because when Kathryn apologized to Regina, Regina referred to the events surrounding the break-up as "what happened yesterday." Emma checks Kathryn's phone records and finds out that Kathryn talked to David on the phone the day she disappeared, but David could not have referred to that conversation, since "Red-Handed" and "Heart of Darkness" both establish that he doesn't remember the phone call because of a memory blackout. Making matters even more complicated is that when Sidney shows up with the phone records, Emma specifically says to him that David told her that he DIDN'T speak to Kathryn that day, which, in fact, he said he did. The Thing You Love Most - S1-E2

Revealing mistake: When Emma is reading the Storybrooke Daily Mirror in Granny's Diner, the article on the front page is just the same block of text repeated three times. (00:12:10)

The Heart is a Lonely Hunter - S1-E7

Revealing mistake: When Emma and Graham are chasing after the wolf into the graveyard, there is a shot where the wolf turns its head toward them, closes its mouth and perks up its ears, while growling. The wolf howls, before turning its head toward them again, and you can see that it is exactly the same shot that was used earlier, only this time, the wolf can be heard whimpering. (00:28:40)

The Thing You Love Most - S1-E2

Revealing mistake: When Emma walks Henry to school, as Emma says "Because I'm the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming?", a reflection of the clock tower building is visible in the window behind her, only there's no clock (the top two layers of the clock tower, including the clock, are visual effects). (00:13:40)

An Apple Red as Blood - S1-E21

Visible crew/equipment: After Regina walks into Gold's shop and tells him about the sleeping curse, just as she asks, "Don't you understand?" we can see the green tape mark (and its reflection) on the floor in front of the display case, where Regina is about to stand. (00:38:55)

What Happened to Frederick - S1-E13

Deliberate mistake: When August takes Emma to the Wishing Well, the well is not in the same location as later in the series. When Emma and August are at the well, it is situated next to the road (August takes her there on his motorcycle), with a giant tree in the background. In in 1-22 "A Land Without Magic", and every other episode where the well appears, in is situated in a clearing in the middle of the forest. (00:22:35)

The Thing You Love Most - S1-E2

Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the episode, as Regina stops below the clock tower and gazes at the clock, there is no sign on the blue building in the background, next to Storybrooke Country Bread. When she notices Emma's car, there is a sign on the building. (02:55:00)

Pilot - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Emma arrives in town, two Storybrooke businesses, Standard Clocks and its neighbour, Modern Fashions, can be seen in a shot though a window. In the shot from above where Emma's car slows down, the name on Standard Clocks is Kaido (a real-life business in Steveston, the Canadian town which doubles as the town of Storybrooke), and there is now a white sign on Modern Fashions, which wasn't there in the first shot. (00:15:45)

The Price of Gold - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: When Emma leaves the apartment to go looking for Ashley, she and Henry walk down the streets of Storybrooke, toward Emma's car. As Emma says, "Because I know", in the background, you can see a business called Steveston WineMakers. Steveston is the name of the Canadian town which doubles as the town of Storybrooke on Once Upon a Time. (00:14:35)

Pilot - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode, the hands on the clock tower move forward for the first time. In the wide shots, the circle surrounding the clock, as well as the wooden beams forming the outer edges of the area around the clock face, are white. In the close-up where the minute hand moves, the circle and edges are brown. Also, in the wide shots, the area around the clock face of the building is shaped like a square, but in the close-up, it is in the shape of a trapezoid. The same thing happens when the clock moves in "The Thing You Love Most", "A Land Without Magic" and "Darkness on the Edge of Town." (00:41:25)

The Heart is a Lonely Hunter - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: When Graham is arguing with Emma at the beginning of the episode, in the very first shot outside Granny's, they are approaching a shop called Worthington's Haberdashery. As the shot ends, they are still a few meters away from it, but in the next shot, they are already in front of it. (00:01:50)

Pilot - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: Emma Swan has a flower tattoo on her left wrist. It can be glimpsed during her date with Ryan, and is visible when she's sitting at the table with Mary Margaret in "The Thing You Love Most", and when she's on the phone with Ruby in "Red-Handed." However, when she opens the door for Henry in "Pilot", the tattoo is gone. The same thing happens when she unlocks the door to her room at the inn in "The Thing You Love Most" (in the scene where she is evicted), and when she's pressing a pack of ice against her wound in "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter."

Kylantha

A Land Without Magic - S1-E22

Continuity mistake: When Emma finds Snow White's glass coffin, there's a hole in the lid. In the overhead shot, the hole is rather small, but in the shot from inside the coffin, the size of the hole has changed dramatically. In the next shot, it is small again. (00:20:15)

The Evil Queen - S2-E20

Cora: Love is weakness. It feels real now, at the start it always does, but it's an illusion. It fades and then you're left with nothing!
