Legacy - S8-E15

Factual error: It's said the illegal immigrant from Venezuela has a new born child. Yet they're still talking of deporting him. Impossible as that child was born here, she/he is an automatic citizen and can represent the whole family in getting citizenship as the law dictates.

Suggested correction: No, it's not impossible. It's a lot more complex and there's no guarantee for immediate citizenship for the parents. There's not even a guarantee a child will be given residency in the US until he or she is old enough to live on his or her own. However, I missed the part in the episode that said anything about the child being born in America, they just said he had a "newborn."

To Protect and Serve - S4-E3

Continuity mistake: In the courtroom, when Erin is shot, she is putting pressure on her wounded right shoulder, then at dinner the bandage is visible on her left shoulder, with her left arm in a sling.

Suggested correction: Erin is shot in her left shoulder, and all shots of her show this correctly.

The Uniform - S2-E11

Character mistake: While handcuffing an auxiliary officer in his apartment, there is a poster on the wall reading, "attention military personal..." Personal is misused. It should read "attention military personnel." (00:16:02)

Blackout - S9-E4

Frank Reagan: And I don't have a Teflon suit. Everything gets to me. Every time one of ours is hurt, or jammed up, or he's in over his head, it gets to me. I just don't show it, 'cause I can't show it, 'cause nobody wants, or needs, a sensitive police commissioner.
Sid Gormley: OK.
Frank Reagan: So screw you!
Sid Gormley: Yes, sir. That an order, too?
Frank Reagan: Yeah, that's an order.
Sid Gormley: Screw me. I'm on it, boss.

Pilot - S1-E1

Trivia: In episode 1x1 "Pilot" the last scene was filmed at Brooklyn's American Veterans Memorial Pier, at Bay Ridge Ave aka 69th St. The location and design of this pier is distinctive and also sentimental (particularly to older Brooklynites).

Show generally

Question: Why why does Danny always yell, "hey!" When he's is a half a block from the perpetrators which gives the perpetrators 1/2 block head start running from Danny. Why doesn't he wait until he's close to him and he wouldn't have to chase him so far?

Answer: It's a common cop show plot device. If the police on the show always acted in the most logical way (i.e. not alerting a suspect to their presence) the show wouldn't have the opportunity for an exciting foot chase.
