Slave Island - S1-E7

Plot hole: After Storm's attempt to escape the Genoshan prison is thwarted, she ends up in the ocean right at the shoreline of the beach, where she is captured by a Sentinel. Aside from the fact that it makes no sense for a Sentinel to be hiding in the ocean in the event that a mutant tries to escape the prison, there is absolutely no way that a two-story tall robot could hide in the ocean right by the beach, as the water would be way too shallow. You can even see that the water level only goes up to the Sentinel's ankle area when it is standing upright in the ocean. (00:03:15)

Slave Island - S1-E7

Plot hole: When the Leader says "Take me to my car at once!", one of his guards goes to open the door to the room only to have Cable shoot the door with his plasma rifle. The Leader then says "The other way you fool!" and everyone in the room starts running for the windows that Cable shot out a few minutes earlier, which happened to be the only other way out of the room. As evidenced earlier from when Cable shot the windows out, that particular floor appears to be 8 stories up, so if everyone in the room exited through the windows, they would have all fallen to their deaths as all of them were regular humans with no superpowers. Slave Island - S1-E7

Factual error: When Professor X is calling Moira McTaggart in Scotland, the phone number he uses is shown to have only dialed the exit code of 011, followed by a fictional seven-digit number with a 555 prefix. Since he is calling from the United States, he would have to dial the country code (44) and area code for the right part of Scotland. Plus UK numbers at that time had at least 9 numbers. (00:08:20)

Continuity mistake: When the lead guard is explaining the inhibitor collars to the new prisoners in the wide shot, you can see Blob at the back of the group, and he is wearing tights, even though he is usually shown wearing a speedo. (00:02:24 - 00:03:41)

Slave Island - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: After Gambit jumps out of the moving hovercar, it comes to a stop in the middle of the road. When the shot changes, the hovercar is suddenly on the left side of the road (note the yellow lane dividers), and is no longer casting a shadow. (00:12:00)

Continuity mistake: When Gambit tries to grab the gun, Cable stops him by placing his left foot on top of it. When the shot changes, it is now Cable's right foot that is on the gun. Additionally, yellow lane dividers in the middle of the road disappear when Gambit first reaches for the gun, and then reappear a couple of shots later. (00:12:15)

Slave Island - S1-E7

Audio problem: When the giant wave of water from the burst dam is heading towards Cable, Hodge and the Leader, Cable begins laughing maniacally. After the wave crashes down on them and floods the area, you can still hear Cable laughing even though he should be submerged underwater. (00:19:25)

Continuity mistake: When the Genosha guard tries pulling a gun on Cable, you can see his headgear only extends down to his jawline and chin. When Cable picks him up and throws him, his headgear is now also covering his entire neck. (00:19:00)

Slave Island - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: When Cable shoots his exploding plasma blast at the conference table, the blast is shown coming through the window from a downward angle. However, the tree branch that Cable is subsequently shown to be using as his vantage point is lower than the window, so the blast could not have come at a downward angle. (00:14:45)

Other mistake: After Cable shoots his exploding plasma blast at the table that Gyrich, Trask, Hodge and the Leader are sitting at, the former three all evacuate the area while the Leader is still shown to be sitting at the table only a moment before it explodes, but he does not suffer any ill effects from the concussive blast or wooden shrapnel. Audio problem: When the decapitated Sentinel body crashes to the ground, the sound of it crashing against the concrete is too soft for its size. It sounds like something slamming against a metal appliance when it should sound more like a car crashing into a wall, only louder. (00:13:50)

Show generally

Question: Does anyone know why Gambit was featured less and less in episodes as the show went on? He was one of the most popular characters in not just X-Men, but all of Marvel Comics around the time this series first aired, so unless it had something to do with his voice actor's contract, it seems odd they wouldn't have utilized him more.

Answer: Chris Potter, the original Gambit voice actor, did indeed quit the role in the 4th season. His last episode was The Phalanx Covenant Part 1 so it seems reasonable that Fox would limit the use of the character even though it was recast. It doesn't appear that Potter left the role due to animosity, he stated in an interview that he wished to play Gambit in the first live action X-Men film.
