NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service

Correction: It's not the actor's "lines" that are printed on that page, McGee is simply reading aloud Cryer's DOD Duty Specs.

Super Grover

Correction: That is Leyla's left hand we see, not a random hand.

Twilight - S2-E23

Corrected entry: In "Twilight," right after Ari shoots Kate in the head, he says, "Sorry Kate." But in the beginning of the first episode of season 3 ("Kill Ari, Part 1"), when it again shows Kate being shot in the head, he says "Sorry Katelyn."

Correction: Ari says, "Sorry, Caitlin" in both episodes.

Super Grover

Correction: These shots are not consecutive, there are two other shots in between. First there's a wide shot of Lieutenant Commander Coleman brushing off the bottom of her left shoe. Second, is a closeup of Gibbs, and third shot is a closeup of Coleman's face. Then the fourth shot is a closeup of Coleman brushing off the bottom of her right shoe. While Coleman's body is offscreen there's ample time for her to switch her crossed legs.

Left for Dead - S1-E10

Corrected entry: When Gibbs discovers the body in the hotel room he is on the phone with Kate. As Kate starts to describe the man Suzanne remembered, Gibbs interrupts and describes the dead man, including his tie. The camera then pans over to show the man lying face down. There is no way Gibbs could have seen his tie.

April Guthrie Farmer

Correction: DiNozzo is by the body indicating there was enough time for them to look at the body before the phonecall takes place.

Detour - S10-E16

Corrected entry: When Palmer has shot the bad guy chasing Ducky and himself, and after he empties the clip of the Beretta (although it could be a Taurus, as they are almost identical), he continues to pull the trigger and you can hear clicks as though the hammer is being actuated. With semi-automatic weapons such as these the slide cocks the hammer from gas expansion as the shell casing is ejected from the gun. Once the clip is empty, the slide remains open (as is seen in the scene), the hammer is left in a retracted position, and the trigger is disengaged. The trigger cannot be pulled, the hammer does not move, and therefore no sound can be made. (00:39:20)

Correction: The Beretta is a double action automatic handgun and can be dry fired without the slide cycling. The trigger can cock and fire the hammer in one pull.

Legend: Part 2 - S6-E23

Corrected entry: Tony enters NCIS, and Ziva informs him that Gibbs wants them in MTAC. As they reach the lobby, Tony, who is holding a mocha soy latte (probably a venti), is informed that drinks are forbidden in MTAC, so he gifts a passerby with it. However, in many previous episodes, both Gibbs and the previous Director, Jenny Shepard, have enjoyed their caffeine-laced coffees while reposing in the comfortable seating in MTAC.

Correction: The Director can do whatever she wants to do, Gibbs does what he wants even if it is not allowed, and Ziva LOVES to mess with Tony. Besides liquids are probably at least frowned upon in a high tech area.

Royals & Loyals - S8-E4

Corrected entry: The uniform worn by the gentleman claiming to be a Royal Marine (later revealed as an MI6 agent), has two mistakes. His "Sam Browne", the leather straps worn over his number 2 dress, (Khaki uniform), should be brown, not black. Also, on his shoulder where his designation of rank is. Here it is made of cloth, it should be a metal crown. Strange the "British Navy" crew did not notice this.

Correction: Wouldn't this be a plot point then? Someone pretending to be a Royal Marine and got it wrong. Errors made by characters are exactly that, Character Mistakes.

Murder 2.0 - S6-E6

Corrected entry: In "Murder 2.0," Abby is asked if she has ever been to California. She replies just once. But several seasons before, she mentions that she and her family went to Disneyland often to laugh at the way tourists dress.

Correction: [This is a character mistake].

Call of Silence - S2-E7

Corrected entry: About halfway through, they start investigating for fellow Marines who fought with a suspect in the Pacific. One them had died of a heart attack recently after getting a pair of aces. Dinozzo says he doubled down on them and got two queens for double blackjack. You don't Double Down on aces, you split them to get one card on each. If you doubled down, you would get only one card and it would be only one hand. A queen would have given him 12-22, which would be a 12.

terry s

Correction: There is nothing to say DiNozzo is an expert at cards. He simply made a mistake (as is often shown). Not a movie mistake.

Show generally

Corrected entry: In one episode (can't remember which, sorry), Dinosso and McGee are having an argument, and Dinosso turns to McGee and calls him "Shaun".

Correction: Because of the lack of specificity, this can't be considered a valid mistake. There's no way to verify or refute the mistake. If you can't remember the episode, let alone the scene, how can anyone be sure you remembered DiNozzo called him "Sean" (the actor's name) or just misheard something?

Cloak - S6-E8

Corrected entry: Ziva and Tony enter the secure facility by entering a pass code they obtained by watching the guards enter it previously. Once inside, they open another door using a pass code. How did they know that code? It would make no sense to have both locks use the same code, rendering the second door useless.

Correction: Each soldier has a specific pass code which they use for every door throughout the building.

Designated Target - S5-E8

Corrected entry: The episode deals with the murder of a Navy admiral and the cab driver transporting him through Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC. Late in the episode, the investigators try to get a lead on another cab driver by tapping into the records from taxi meters. The problem is, DC cabs don't yet have meters. Congress banned them in 1933, but legislation passed this year now gives the DC government authority to install meters. And in fact, just days before this episode aired in Nov 2007, DC's mayor announced plans to switch from the zone system to meters by April 2008.

Correction: Could have been a Maryland or Virginia cab if the ride originated out of DC.

Correction: Some time has passed since that episode so there is no reason Caitlin could not have found out in the time since.

Correction: The window is half open, not enough to stick your head out and be sick.

Correction: A video screen doesn't give a good representation of what someone looks like. Especially since the the camera is at a distant and facial features are not obvious.

Jet Lag - S7-E13

Corrected entry: While Tony, Ziva and their witness are on the plane viewing Tony's Paris photos, a man (a steward?) walks across the scene (in the background). He is walking across the width of the plane, looking down the aisle, at a normal walking pace that would smack him into The Wall three feet in front of him. It's apparent that there must be an opening in that wall he's aiming for, as there would be on a set.

Correction: This mistake entry uses the assumption that the person continues walking. Personally, I can stop walking within one step even when I am looking down. I can't see why this person can't do the same.

Show generally

Corrected entry: Gibbs will break a mobile phone (generally in the office), and be given a brand new one by Tony. No one ever notes the new number or passes it on to those who Need to Know it, but Gibbs can still be called by anyone, especially from their speed dial.

Correction: It can be safely assumed that the number is distributed off camera. It's not necessary to show them giving out a new number. Besides, it's also possible to assign and activate the same number to more than one phone.

Yankee White - S1-E1

Corrected entry: Towards the end of the episode, when Gibbs and Todd leave the toilet cubicle, she tells him of the problem in the press section and starts towards it. He tells her to cover the president. He had no way of knowing that the Secret Service had left the President unprotected.

Correction: No he would not know, but he told Todd to cover the President so the President will have more protection other then the men that were already there.

Angel of Death - S4-E24

Corrected entry: When La Grenouille is in the plane looking at the photos of Tony and Dr. Jeanne Benoit, he questions his associate as they discuss hurting her to get to Tony. At the end, we discover that La Grenouille is Jeanne's father. It doesn't make sense that he would sit there calmly while someone threatens his daughter.

Correction: He is an international terroist who wants dirt on NCIS and needs someone to blackmail. He knows the guy wont really hurt his daughter but just enough to try and get Tony to work for him.

NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service mistake picture

Shalom - S4-E1

Visible crew/equipment: When Gibbs and Ziva are in the "safehouse" Ziva set up for Ari, a crew member and his boom microphone are seen on the left of the screen, right before Gibbs climbs the ladder to remove the hidden camera spying on them. (00:30:10)

See No Evil - S2-E1

[Gibbs is drinking a cup of coffee.]
Kate Todd: Gibbs, it's like one hundred degrees in here. How can you drink that stuff?
Leroy Gibbs: It keeps me cool.

Agent Afloat - S6-E2

Trivia: Season 6, "Agent Afloat": Maybe real aircraft carriers posing as fictional ones shouldn't let viewers see their registration numbers. When this episode aired, producers heard from several "carrier purists" complaining that CVN74 is the U.S.S. John C. Stennis, not the (non-existent) Seahawk.
