Don Flack: I thought tonight was your night off.
Mac Taylor: My dinner date dumped me for a dead body.
Mac Taylor: You're not a doctor. You're a murderer with a medical degree.
Lindsay Monroe: You know, I've always been curious: why do they call this area "Hell's Kitchen"?
Mac Taylor: Well, the story goes, a veteran cop was watching a riot with his rookie partner, who said "This place is Hell itself", to which the veteran replied "Hell is a mild climate compared to this. This place is Hell's kitchen."
Hammer Down - S6-E7
Dr. Ray Langston: You know that the, uh, oldest projectile fired from a weapon was recorded in the fourth century in Japan? It was fired from a very crude handheld cannon that you lit with a wick. Its sole purpose was for taking life. Seems that after seventeen hundred years of evolution...[pumps shotgun]...we haven't come very far, have we?
Mac Taylor: I'm so tired. I used to sit like this with my wife. Her name was Claire. She died on 9/11. Nobody saw it coming. I was cleaning out that closet the other day, and I... I found this beach ball. And I remembered it was my wife who blew it up. I never told anybody this, but I got rid of everything that reminded me of Claire. Too painful. The one thing I couldn't throw away was that beach ball. Her breath is still in there.
Grand Murder At Central Station - S2-E2
Mac Taylor: It never ceases to amaze me how men of higher education can commit such... stupid crimes.
Suggested correction: Theoretically correct, but it can be argued that the only evidence present is the bullet (which has DNA and prints burnt off when fired) and the body (which can only be handled by the MEs) gloves are not required.
Andy Benham
What utter rubbish. No CSI would enter a crime scene without first putting on latex gloves - it is a carved-in-stone rule.
Exactly. Since Mac, Stella and Danny were processing a crime scene, they would need to wear gloves because without them, they would have contaminated a crime scene by not only getting their fingerprints over everything but, if one of them got a cut or scrape, their DNA would also be thrown into the mix and any defense attorney can call them out on their carelessness and have any evidence thrown out.
