Little House on the Prairie

Remember Me (1) - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: When Mary and Laura dive into the lake to rescue the puppies they have their shoes on. As they are swimming around looking for them they are barefoot. When the get out of the water their shoes are back on.

The Talking Machine - S2-E13

Factual error: Jason mentions to Laura that someday there will be a "steam powered airplane." The word "airplane" did not even exist at that time - "flying machine" or so would likely be used during that era.

The Runaway Caboose - S2-E16

Factual error: As the train is going backwards from the oncoming caboose, the camera pans to the field background and if you watch from right to left, you'll see a white vehicle driving in the background.

The Talking Machine - S2-E13

Continuity mistake: When Jason and Laura are flying the kite in one scene, there is heavy rain, thunder, and lightning and dark storm clouds shown in the sky, but on the ground showing the kids, the sun is shining on them (note the shadows).

The Campout - S2-E5

Factual error: This episode takes place almost entirely in the mountains. In Minnesota where the show is set, there are no mountains as tall as shown, particularly those that are snow-capped and rocky. The show was shot in California.

The Campout - S2-E5

Audio problem: When Laura and Nellie are on the branch going down the rapids they can be heard talking, but their mouths either don't match with what they are saying or don't move at all.

Laura: I wanted to clean the blackboards extra good today, to make up for being late.
Mary Ingalls Kendall: And talking in class?
Laura: I was not talking.
Mary Ingalls Kendall: You were, too.
Laura: Was not! Nellie was talking and I was answering.

Trivia: In the opening credits, the three girls are shown running down a hill that has several flowers growing on it. In reality, the flowers were fakes, and Melissa Sue Anderson (Mary) tripped over one of the fakes during one take and gave herself whiplash.
