Continuity mistake: They interview Jimmy Belmont in prison, who complains how Monk sent him there for killing Randy's uncle in 'Mr. Monk Visits a Farm.' However, in that episode, Monk tricked everyone (including Randy) into believing Randy had solved the murder.
Continuity mistake: In the hardware store, a bright blue sign in the background reads "Electrical" in reverse. When Jake hands Monk his card a few shots later, the camera angle hasn't changed, but the sign has turned around and now reads "Electrical" forwards. (00:15:00)
Continuity mistake: At the end, when he is talking to Natalie about quitting since he has solved an even number of crimes, Monk is peeling an orange. The peeling that he is letting dangle from the orange changes from above the counter to touching the counter and back to above the the counter, depending on the shot.
Continuity mistake: When Monk and Natalie are arguing at Monk's apartment, Natalie is wearing a ponytail. However, when the scene cuts to them standing in Fendle's hotel room, Natalie's ponytail is gone, and does not reappear for the rest of the episode. It's the same day, however, since she's still wearing the same dark black coat in both scenes. The most likely explanation is that the scene in Monk's apartment was filmed concurrently with Natalie's scenes in "Mr. Monk Makes the Playoffs" - the black-collared shirt Natalie is wearing in the second half of the episode appears to be the same one she wears in the previous episode, where her hair is in a ponytail for most of her scenes. Continuity mistake: Season 7: "Mr. Monk Fights City Hall": Monk tells the councilwoman that he knows how the vote went last week because he was there. Yet a few days later, when he and Natalie arrive at city hall for the next meeting, he has to ask which room and which floor the council meets on. (00:07:50)
Continuity mistake: When the victim's niece is crying and Monk is quizzing her about the house, the position of her hands changes instantly several times as the camera reverses angles. She holds her hands to her face as she cries, for instance, but in the very next shot, her hands are down at her sides. Next cut, they're up to her face again. (00:09:00)
Continuity mistake: When Monk is asking Ms. Moody if the roof is known, she's crying into both her hands. But in the next shot, she's only crying into her left hand and her right hand is down. The shot changes, and we see her lowering her right hand, not left. In the next shot her left hand is up again.
Continuity mistake: When Kloster hands Natalie the cup of lemonade, the cup is about two-thirds full. In the shots from the right side of the car, the level is about the same, but in the shots from the left side of the car, it's almost full. (00:22:30 - 00:23:30)
Continuity mistake: In the lab scene near the end, when Monk has the electric wheel chair, Natalie is holding the bottle of pills in her right hand and the drink in her left hand when she gets up from the seat. In the next shot she is holding the drink in her right hand and the pills in her left.
Continuity mistake: When Monk is trying to get out of the Captain's car, Randy is trying to get his wheelchair out of the trunk. In the shots from the rear of the car, Randy is directly behind the vehicle. In the shots from the front, Randy is a few feet away. (00:18:00 - 00:19:00)
Continuity mistake: In "Mr. Monk On Wheels," after Monk gets out of the car, when he closes the door while standing on his unshot leg, he's facing the front of the vehicle. In the next shot, from behind the car, he's facing the rear of the vehicle without having turned around. (00:18:55)
Continuity mistake: When Monk is telling Captain Stottlemeyer about Trudy's death, he says that by the time he got there, she wasn't even able to speak, that she held his hand and died. However, in "Mr. Monk Meets Dale the Whale," we learn that Trudy's last words were "Bread and butter," and that she said them to Adrian right before she died.
