A Piece of the Action - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: In the very first scene after the intro, when Bela's goons hold the landing party at gunpoint, Spock's position on the sidewalk shifts back and forth from standing on the other side of a wooden bench to standing alongside Kirk and McCoy with no bench in between. In fact, in the latter shots, the bench has moved all the way across the street. (00:04:50)

A Piece of the Action - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: While Kirk and McCoy attack the other two henchmen, Spock shoulder-pinches the card-playing gangster. In the very next shot, Spock's position has jumped from behind the now-unconscious man to several feet away, where he is bending over to retrieve the guns from the floor. (00:16:30)

Revealing mistake: Kirk has just tripped both of Krako's goons with the radio wire strung across the door. He knocks them both out, grabs a gun and then races out the door - right through the space that should still be strung with the trip wire. (00:25:15)

A Piece of the Action - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: The scene outside shows a guard standing close to a sign on the wall that says, "Jo Jo Krako", but the next overhead shot shows the guard further away, and a railing between the sign and the guard that would have prevented anyone from getting close to it.

A Piece of the Action - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: After Kirk proposes a deal at the end, Oxmyx agrees and points towards the others behind him with his left hand. A second later, he's facing toward the camera with his right hand pointing.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: It's discussed in the show how good the Iotians are at imitating things. That combined with the fact that the book has become their guide on how to live makes it highly likely they have recreated the book and distributed it throughout the planet.

Just what I thought - Krako may have had another copy.

Suggested correction: May have been another copy.

Spock: Live long and prosper.

What Are Little Girls Made Of? - S1-E8

Question: When the Enterprise is in orbit, it uses the Impulse engines to maintain orbit. The Impulse engines are located on the back (aft) of the primary saucer. Why were these not on or lit up? Unless they're using gravity, but there are the familiar engine sounds.

Movie Nut

Chosen answer: If they're in orbit, they're being pulled along by the planet's gravity well, therefore, impulse engines would only be used for minor corrections and would be "on standby" while in orbit, but not active. (Like keeping your car idling without revving the engine and creating plumes of exhaust).
