Bewitched

Trivia: Elizabeth Montgomery (Samantha) was actually able to twitch her mouth quickly to move her nose back and forth. Many believe that the editors sped up the film to enhance her twitch.

Samantha Fights City Hall - S5-E9

Trivia: Because Erin Murphy, who played Tabitha, was ill, her fraternal twin sister Diane took her place in this episode. By this time, Erin and Diane didn't resemble each other as much as they once did, and it was obvious to regular viewers of the show that it wasn't the Tabitha they were used to seeing. The producers received several letters asking "Who was that?"

Trivia: The Screen Gems sets of Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie were right next to each other at the studio, and many of the actual sets and props were shared between the two shows. Both shows also shared Dick Albain, the Special Effects expert, who worked on the two shows for quite awhile.

Birdies, Bogies, and Baxter - S4-E7

Trivia: Macdonald Carey, who played Baxter, was on the soap opera "Days Of Our Lives" from 1965 until he passed away in 1994. He provided the famous "Like sands through the hourglass" opening narration.

Trivia: Since the filming crew had to float objects around the set, they spray-painted the wires to make them less visible.

Trivia: Elizabeth Montgomery herself chose the name 'Tabitha' for the name of her TV daughter; actor Edward Andrews had a daughter with that name and Elizabeth liked the 'old fashioned' way it sounded. But at first the name was spelled 'Tabatha' in the credits and Elizabeth disliked it.

Trivia: Originally, Samantha's trademark nose twitch was actually a nervous habit. Episode eight was the first to be produced, and when Elizabeth Montgomery (Samantha) was asked to twitch her nose for the first time, she didn't know if she could.

Trivia: The way Darrin felt about Samantha's witchcraft was entirely different from what Dick York thought. In real life Dick York expressed that Samantha should have said, "Lay off, or I'll zap you one."

Trivia: Dick York played Darrin Stephens from 1964 till '69, when he left under supposed false pretenses, including those stemming from his addiction to painkillers (for his chronic back pain), there may have been other reasons for his leaving or possible dismissal. Dick Sargent took over the role in '69, and played Darrin until the show ended in 1972.

Season 7 generally

Trivia: The main reason the first few episodes of season 7 were filmed in Salem was because there had been a fire in the kitchen area of the set between seasons 6 and 7; subsequently the set had to be partially rebuilt. This explains the changes in the kitchen in season 7, including a new eating area and the back staircase.

Trivia: Darrin's father, Frank Stephens, was also played by two different actors (Robert F. Simon and Roy Roberts).

Santa Comes to Visit and Stays and Stays - S6-E14

Plot hole: Mrs. Kravitz, while standing in the Stephenses' front doorway, sees Santa Claus and assumes that it's Darrin in costume. However, the very next shot shows Santa exiting the kitchen (around the corner from the front door) and starting up the hallway toward the living room. There is no possible way Mrs. Kravitz could have seen him when she said she did. (00:09:30)

More quotes from Bewitched

Answer: Larry had been telling Darrin what it means psychologically that Samantha gave the coat away. Larry said giving it away meant she's happy being married but if she liked the coat it means she desires to be single and carefree. So when Darrin sees the coat, he immediately thinks Samantha doesn't want to be married and the fact that she twitched it means (in his mind) she wants to be a single, carefree witch again.

Answer: I haven't seen the episode, but generally in the show, Darrin was always suspicious that Samantha always used some kind of witchcraft for any situation (even if she didn't). He probably figured the same thing with the coat while in her possession.

You should watch the episodes in question before giving an answer so you know what you're talking about.
