Charmed

Be Careful What You Witch For - S2-E22

Plot hole: When teenage Prue has run away with the demon, and Phoebe and Piper find her in the park, teenage Prue is 'killed'. Her sisters drive her home to get Leo to heal her, but shouldn't they have just been able to call to Leo to orb to them when Prue was first hurt, and heal her in the park, and save driving back to the Manor and risk Prue dying?

Suggested correction: I see orbing to the park but he didn't heal her, she was already dead and he can't heal the dead, that's why the genie brought her back - that's what Phoebe wished for.

But if they would have called for him right away - he would have been able to heal her before she died. However at this point in time I don't think they knew how to call for him.

A Knight to Remember - S4-E6

Plot hole: Piper is initially skeptical at Phoebe's theory that the Evil Enchantress could be Paige in a past life, because Paige lacks the Enchantress' ability to summon the elements. However, Piper knows that in Phoebe's past life she had a pyrokinetic power, which she does not have in the present.

Suggested correction: This is not a correction, more of an observation that goes with this plot hole. In season 2 episode 14 'Pardon my past' Leo explains to the sisters that Phoebe was taken away her active powers, because her past self had used them for evil, but yet the Enchantress does the same with her powers, and Paige still has active powers. It took two years for Phoebe fighting as a good witch to actually gain an active power again, and then it was only levitating. Becoming an empath took seven years. So that doesn't really make sense that Phoebe would be punished for her past self actions and Paige was not.

Possibly Paige had past lives in between the one we saw and the present one. So she could have already atoned for the evil past life in another past life.

That could very well be true since Paige's past life as the Enchantress was much further back in the past than Phoebe's.

Also Paige's active power comes from her Whitelighter side not her witch side, she doesn't have any active witch powers.

Freaky Phoebe - S7-E19

Plot hole: When Paige and Leo are talking in Leo's office at magic school, Paige compliments Leo for being such a good headmaster. She mentions that after being headmistress for a year, it's harder than it looks. If she became headmistress after they killed Gideon (i.e. when baby Chris is born) and she's been headmistress for a year, that would make Chris at least a year old. Chris is obviously not one year old just yet.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Seeing as she is working at a school, she probably meant a school year, which only lasts for 10 months and not a whole year. She took over for Gideon after he died, so the school year had already started. And she also argued with the Elders first on even keeping the school open, so the school year was already partly over before she actually became headmistress. So like I stated previously, she probably meant a school year instead of an actual full year.

A Witch's Tail (1) - S5-E1

Plot hole: The Sea Hag says at the start of the episode to Mylie that as an immortal being, only she can place the augur shell over her heart to give up her life. But at the end of the episode Necron magically places the shell onto Phoebe and it nearly sucks the life out of her. (00:03:20 - 01:14:55)

Suggested correction: Phoebe had become a mermaid due to the Charmed ones spell, therefore making her immortal for the time being.

Ok, so it still doesn't make sense then. If Phoebe is an immortal being, she should have to place the Auger shell over her own heart, as the Sea hag said.

Forget Me...Not - S6-E3

Continuity mistake: When Phoebe starts the fight at the office, she gets pushed and a cut appears on her forehead, but the only thing she collided with was her arm.

New this month Suggested correction: No, she was shoved and hit her head on a filing cabinet. It's shown.

Sympathy for the Demon - S5-E7

Plot hole: Cole says Barbas can use his powers to become the Source, but in the episode "Womb Raider" they established that an aspiring Source needs to lay his hands on the Grimoire to become the source, which was hidden away by Leo in the Andes. (00:19:40)

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Cole doesn't say this. After stealing his powers, Barbas mentions that he can use the amount of power to become the new Source. It isn't proved in the episode that it would actually work, as he never gets to the ceremonial part. Perhaps the Grimoire would have been needed eventually, or seeing the amount of power Cole owns in this season, the Grimoire might have not been needed anymore.

When Bad Warlocks Go Good - S1-E18

Continuity mistake: Prue finds Brendan, as a warlock, over the corpse of Father Austin. He runs away and she pursues him. He insists that he "didn't hurt Father Austin. [He] found him like that." Prue counters, "Before or after you turned into a warlock?" His response is, "After. When I saw what [my brothers] did to him, I was crazed. The rage turned me into a warlock." So doesn't that mean that he found Father Austin before he turned into a warlock, not after? (00:17:55)

Suggested correction: He said after because Brendan has always been a warlock. He was born that way.

My Three Witches - S6-E6

Plot hole: We are told that in the world of the Charmed Ones, desires aren't real. When they are transported back to the real world, Wyatt is transported too, even though the real Wyatt was never really there to begin with.

Suggested correction: I believe that when the demon brings the Charmed ones into their desire worlds, Piper is holding Wyatt and as such brought him into her world by association?

A Paige from the Past - S4-E10

Other mistake: After Piper freezes the first crime scene that Cole and Phoebe (aka Frankie and Lulu) have hit, Piper unfreezes Darryl by touching him but at the beginning of the the episode when Piper and Cole are touching the car that Piper froze, to stop it from exploding after a car crash, while trying to help the woman inside, the car never unfreezes. This is somewhat inconsistent through the entire show a lot of times they can unfreeze things by touching them and then a lot of times they can only unfreeze things by Piper using her pointer finger to either unfreeze a head or a foot or some other body part. (00:30:15)

Suggested correction: This is obviously due to intent - just touching something wouldn't unfreeze it unless Piper intended that.

Cat House - S5-E18

Plot hole: The demon is killed when Leo proposes, hence before the wedding. So how is he able to break the cake topper?

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: The demon was able to break the topper because the demon/Paige/Phoebe were being moved in the memories in the order Piper and Leo talked about their past. Since they talked about the wedding before the proposal, the demon was able to break the topper.

Valhalley of the Dolls (1) - S6-E1

Plot hole: Phoebe becomes an empath. But in Primrose Empath (S3:E6) Leo tells the sisters an empath is a mortal who has died and come back as an empath, so it wouldn't be a progression of a witch's powers like it is in this episode. Plus Phoebe isn't dead.

Suggested correction: There is a difference between an Empath and the power of Empathy. A true Empath is a mortal that has died and been reincarnated and they are a separate race of magical beings. But other beings, such as witches, can have the power of empathy. It does get confusing because they refer to a witch with empathy as an empath, but that doesn't mean they are true empaths. In addition, Phoebe developed her empathy powers in her 20's as one of her first powers and her power of empathy is the strongest of any being.

And where is this stated anywhere in the 8 seasons of the show?

Scry Hard - S7-E17

Continuity mistake: Piper and Leo both make comments about Leo's inability to self-heal now that he's a mortal. But in previous episodes, it's mentioned that Leo wasn't allowed to use his powers to heal himself.

Suggested correction: Leo was a white-lighter before and he wasn't able to heal himself when he was hit by a dark-lighter's arrow. However, injuries such as stab wounds would heal as seen in "Saving Private Leo."

Once Upon a Time - S3-E3

Continuity mistake: The only way any of the charmed ones can see the fairies is with the fairy dust, but in several other later seasons and episodes when the charmed ones need the magical community's help they can see the fairies without any help from fairy dust or a spell.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Originally they didn't know or believe that fairies and trolls existed so they needed the fairy dust or a spell to regain their innocence so they could see them, in later seasons they know they exist so no longer need anything to help them see them.

Season 2 generally

Continuity mistake: The first three episodes have zero continuity when it comes to Piper's love life. In Ep1 "Witch Trial" Piper is hooking up with the guy who is looking at the loan for P3. Then in Ep2 "Morality Bites" she is with Leo (presumably they have secretly been together for months as they discuss their many issues being able to talk when they're both so busy with magic crises and how Leo hasn't figured out how they can be together without clipping his wings). But by Ep3 "The Painted World" Piper and Dan are already together. They has been no discussion of Piper and Leo breaking up and zero mention of Piper and Dan getting together (in fact, the last time we saw Dan in Ep1, he and Phoebe were flirting pretty heavily). I am so confused and I do not at all remember these inconsistencies from when I first watched these episodes years ago. Were these shot and aired out of sequence or something?

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Your last statement is correct, which also invalidates your error. Ep3, "The Painted World" was produced before Ep2, "Morality Bites" but "Morality Bites" was aired first, out of sequence.
