Revealing mistake: You can tell Robert Llewellyn is reading his lines when Kryten receives the computer chip. He is looking much lower than the chip in his hand and it was obviously quite a complicated piece of dialogue to remember. (00:12:35)
Continuity mistake: When the Cat's future echo says, "I think I lost my tooth," he is at The End of the corridoor. When the present Cat say it, he is just leaving the sleeping quarters. (00:16:30 - 00:22:25)
Confidence and Paranoia - S1-E5
Visible crew/equipment: In the medi-bay, when Rimmer says, "How about an anal reading?" a yellow microphone appears above his head. (You can see this if you watch the dvd on your pc, as some tv's can cut off the edge of the picture). (00:11:00)
Continuity mistake: When Lister tips his socks onto the floor, he throws the bin behind him, near the bunkbeds. But when he picks them up again, the bin has moved over in front and to the right of him. (00:08:20)
Plot hole: The man the crew find stampeded to death had been lying in the road for a year, yet he had not began to decompose. (00:17:50)
Continuity mistake: Kryten has three spare heads but in 'The Last Day' in series 3, he only packed away one head. (00:18:40)
Revealing mistake: Near The End of the episode, Kryten and his employer are seen arguing in supposedly backwards English. However, when you watch the episode how the people of earth would see it on the second DVD, Kryten and his employer aren't speaking English, they are just speaking plain gobbeldy-gook, even although when you see the people of Earth talking on the DVD they speak correctly. Revealing mistake: At The End of the episode when Ace takes off in the ejector seat, a black cable can be seen lifting the chair up. (00:27:55)
