Trivia: Cynthia Nixon, who plays redhead Miranda Hobbes, is a natural blonde. She had to dye her hair for the role.

All or nothing - S3-E10

Trivia: This scene was actually filmed at Bergdorf Goodman. And the plates they are holding, are actually the price mentioned in the show. (00:07:35)

Change of a dress - S4-E15

Trivia: The tap dance instructor is actually Andre De Shields, a foremost tap dancer & performer on Broadway. (00:17:10)

The good fight - S4-E13

Trivia: The entire closet scene is the longest scene that has ever played on the show, in terms of real time. During every single take, the actors played it from the beginning all the way through to the end. (00:12:00)

Trivia: After the first season, the producers hated having to refer to phone numbers by tv and movie standards (beginning with 555) that they purchased two real phone numbers to use throughout the rest of the series.

Boy, interrupted - S6-E10

Trivia: When Samantha runs into Phoebe on the street, Phoebe is really Geri Halliwell, one of the Spice Girls (Ginger Spice). At the same time that they were filming this scene in front of the SoHo House, Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) and David Beckham were actually inside the SoHo House as well. (00:04:50)

To market, to market - S6-E1

Let there be light - S6-E13

Trivia: When Charlotte and Anthony are walking in the park, all of the leaves getting blown on them are not natural. Jimmy the Prop Man was walking in front of them, and just throwing the leaves at them. (00:06:15)

An american girl in paris (part deux) - S6-E20

Trivia: Carrie is carrying a small bunch of violets in this Parisian montage. What is interesting is that in France, traditionally, violets are the flowers that the husband gives his wife when he has disappointed her, or they have had a fight. Symbolically, the violets that Carrie bought for herself represent that she is continually disappointed by Aleksandr. (00:10:25)

Anchors away - S5-E1

Trivia: During this scene, Carrie states to the other girls, "If you want to do your patriotic duty as New York women, you will come shopping with me right now and throw some much needed money Downtown". According to the commentary, this is possibly the only direct reference to New York City and 9-11 in the entire episode. Downtown NYC was very hurt by the World Trade Towers disaster, and the show thought that Carrie's character would be doing her part, which includes shopping. (00:05:20)

Anchors away - S5-E1

Trivia: When Fatty, Miranda's cat is playing with the piece of umbilical cord on the floor, it's actually beef jerky on a fishing line (as explained in the commentary). (00:21:55)

Anchors away - S5-E1

Trivia: During this scene when Carrie is visiting Miranda, and Miranda is nursing the baby, Miranda's breasts are actually very expensive prosthetics. The scene was cut with prosthetic breasts on Miranda, and a real nursing mother. (00:10:55)

Belles of the balls - S4-E10

Trivia: When Carrie is reading 'InStyle' magazine, there is a prominent photo of Big's recent girlfriend/actress "Willow Summers" on the cover. This photo looks exactly like the same actress who played Big's first wife (and publishing executive) during a previous season. This same woman appears in the previous episode when Carrie is walking down the street after having dinner with Big, and he tells her about Willow Summers. She stops when she sees a poster of the famous actress, and again the woman in the photo looks exactly like the woman who played Big's first wife. (00:13:30)

The good fight - S4-E13

Trivia: During this scene when Richard and Samantha are dancing by the pool, you can see the NYC skyline behind them. The World Trade Towers were visible right between them, when this was filmed. They were later taken out, and this was the only time in the entire series that anything was digitally removed from the show. They removed the World Trade Towers for two reasons: One; they would have changed the entire tone of the scene and made it sad and tragic. Two; when the show actually aired the World Trade Towers had already been destroyed. They wanted the show to appear current, as if it was happening now and not in the past. If they had left the World Trade Towers in the shot, it would have looked like it was filmed in the past. (00:24:10)

Shortcomings - S2-E15

Trivia: Justin Theroux, who plays Carrie's date/boyfriend Vaughn in this episode, also stars in a previous episode. In that episode, "The monogamists" from series 1, his name is Jared and he's a novelist just like Vaughn is in the "Shortcomings" episode.

I heart ny - S4-E18

Trivia: The painting being shown in this scene, is actually the real Monet's Water Lilies. It was also filmed in the real Museum Of Modern Art. (00:12:15)

Let there be light - S6-E13

Trivia: During the scenes in the department store, they were filming at the real Barneys. Also, the blindfold that Charlotte is wearing is from Burberry. The show asked if they had Burberry blindfolds, and they didn't make them at that time. But they then tailor-made a Burberry blindfold, just for Charlotte to use in these scenes. (00:18:25)

The good fight - S4-E13

Trivia: Carrie has just left her apartment and is walking down her street, which is empty. They did not close off traffic to film; it just happened to be a quiet New York City day with no traffic. (00:27:35)

Splat! - S6-E18

Trivia: When Carrie is typing on her computer, she changes the question mark to a period. The moment she does this, there is no more computer typing shown in the entire series, until the very last moment in the final montage. This was done to signify that Carrie had stopped questioning her life. (00:10:10)

Games people play - S2-E13
