Deliberate mistake: The door to Monica's bedroom is open in many shots, such as when Ross introduces Julie, and we can see that there's a wall (with a framed picture) directly opposite the doorway, but when Phoebe's giving Monica the haircut they're in Monica's bedroom and there's no such wall in front of the door.
The One With Rachel's Date - S8-E5
Revealing mistake: In the scene in the coffee house, Phoebe is talking to Monica who is drinking a cup of coffee. Towards the end of the scene, the camera is on Phoebe who is smiling & laughing at Monica. In the right hand corner is a side view of 'Monica' however, it is not Courtney Cox in the scene, but a completely different actress. Answer: These are references to the TV show NYPD Blue. Deputy Andy Sipowicz is the name of one of the characters, whilst another character (Deputy Danny Sorenso) is played by Rick Schroder who previously starred in the show Silver Spoons.
