Question: What's going on with Rico and Carl in the card guessing scene? I originally thought Rico was trying to guess the value of the unturned card was but then he says it's the ace of spades and it turns out to be exactly that yet he still gets it wrong. Could someone please explain what's happening there?

Answer: The card face up is the one he's trying to guess. The card that flips over is his guess (you can see him hit a pad when he says "ace of spades".) So he is trying to use mental powers to guess the card that is face up (which he can't see as he has his back to it), and (presumably so the computer can track his results better) he makes his choice on a keypad, which then turns over the card on the screen (which is why the card is what he said, yet still wrong).

Question: I never read the comics but I used to watch the cartoons when I was younger and I'm sure that Wolverine was with Storm, and I don't remember him liking Jean Gray. What happens here? Did he like Jean then go on to Storm?

Answer: Wolverine always had a thing for Jean. They were together in the Age of Apocolypse series (alternate reality). He was also in love with her in the cartoon in the mid 1990's.

Maria Santos

Answer: I remember the cartoon series too. Storm and Wolverine were a couple in alternative timelines set in the future after Jean died or never was an X-Men.

Help Wanted / Reef Blowers / Tea at the Treedome - S1-E2

Question: What is the music played in 'Help Wanted' when Spongebob is making all the krabby patties for the fish?

Answer: The song is Tiny Tim's 'Living in the Sunlight, Loving in the Moonlight'.

That's Lobstertainment! - S3-E8

Question: I have heard that Calculon winning the Golden Globe in this episode is a spoof of how a woman (Pia Zadora I believe) won the Golden Globe for Best Female Newcomer for a film that was terrible enough that she shouldn't have even dreamed of getting it, and it turned out she won it because her husband had bribed many people to get her to win. Is this true?

Answer: While it has never been proved, it is believed that her husband, Israeli millionaire Meshulam Riklis, did have something to do with her winning a GG for her role in "Butterfly", especially since she also won Razzies for Worst New Star and Worst Actress for the same role.

Question: Time travel question: Harry has been saved after the transformation of the werewolf because of a howl. However, this only happened because of their time travel, so the "first run" is maybe supposed to end somehow differently - e.g. Harry having been killed by the werewolf, making the scenario at the hospital ward unable to happen at all.

Answer: No that howl the whole time was Hermione, it was never another wolf. Look at it this way: at Hagrid's hut the trio did not know to leave until the Future Hermione threw 2 stones through the window. This scene (and any times Hermione travels back in time) is basically on a loop. One (Hermione throwing the stone to alert her self) has to happen for the other (real time) to continue as planned. Any other sequence of events is impossible. Weird, but just how it works.

bessytheevilcow

Question: What is the riff played in the scene where the guys are about to attack the Stella's brother beside the road (e.g. one of them takes off his belt and Jam takes out his drumsticks)?

Answer: It is the intro to Black Sabbath's "Iron Man".

Twotall

Question: After the Tony Robbin's episode, Hal is supposed to see the true inner self of women reflected in their appearance. So what's with the chick across the hall? Her appearance doesn't change even though she is portrayed to be somewhat less than kind and shallow in her own right. Am I missing something?

Answer: Tony Robbins tells Hal that whenever he meets someone in the FUTURE he'll only see what's inside them. He already knows what the woman across the hall looks like so her appearance doesn't change, same goes for everybody else he's already seen before.

Question: Sirius receives a serious wound from Lupin when he's a werewolf. According to legend, if you're bitten by a werewolf, you become one. Why doesn't Sirius? I watched this scene several times, and Padfoot (Sirius) was bit by Lupin.

Answer: In the book Lupin says to Harry, "Werewolf bites are only fatal to humans." Sirius Black does not become infected with lycanthropy because he was in his animagus form of the dog, "the grim", at the time of the bite.

Question: In the scene where Alex takes Isabell to the completed club to meet his boss and the three are conversing there is music playing in the club's background what is the name of this song?

Answer: "Naked Eye" by Luscious Jackson.

Question: Maybe I missed something, but why didn't Gandalf notice that Sam was not there? He acts surprised when Aragorn says that Frodo didn't go to Mordor alone, Sam went with him. Yet, he has already seen Merry and Pippin, and Legolas, Gimli and Aragorn are with him, and he knows that Frodo went on alone, so where does he think Sam is? Please excuse me if I missed something.

Answer: The movie makes it clear that Gandalf has lost some of his memory and his personality has changed. Gandalf actually did die and pass over to the "other side", as it were but was sent back to complete his task. However, he was sent back as a similar, but different entity. Gandalf the White does not have all the memories of Gandalf the Grey, at least at first. He doesn't even remember that he used to be called Gandalf the Grey until someone points this out to him. It is implied that Gandalf doesn't even remember Sam until Aragorn mentions him. Gandalf then searches his memories and remembers who Sam is and his eventual importance to Frodo's quest. When he finally remembers this, he is pleased that Sam went with Frodo, as he will play a crucial role near the end of the journey.

Super Trooper

Question: Is "Googolplex" an actual word?

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: Yes. A "googol" is the number 10 raised to the 100th power, or a 1 followed by 100 zeroes. A "googolplex" is an even larger number - 10 raised to the power of a "googol", or represented as 1 followed by a "googol" zeroes.

Question: This actually applies to every Star Trek series but it features most prominently here: Exactly what purpose do the little dots seen moving across the bottom of every bridge main viewer serve? There's no mention of them in any technical manual or website that I've seen yet they seem to be a fairly standard feature of Federation starships from any era.

Answer: According to Micheal Okuda (technical supervisor of Trek) they are the future's version of a computer monitor's "refresh rate".

Grumpy Scot

Question: When Shrek, Donkey and Puss-in-Boots try to steal a magic potion from the Potion Room, they smash several bottles. How can thereafter the Fairy Godmother and her assistant be so sure there is only one bottle (the Happily Ever After cocktail) missing?

Answer: This is an enchanted kingdom, and the Fairy Godmother no doubt has some sort of magical inventory to make it easier to keep track of everything. Such an inventory would reflect the destruction of several potions and the theft of another differently, because it's magic.

Phoenix

Question: In the scene where Jimmy and his friends are finding their parents again, who is driving the cargo ship they're on?

Answer: Surely such an advanced spaceship would have some form of autopilot.

Question: Was Roxie really ever pregnant? She revealed later that she wasn't but the Doctor said she was.

Answer: No she was never pregnant. The doctor only says that she was because she had given him certain sexual favours to bribe him into saying it! If you look, you can see him zip up his trousers when he announces the pregnancy.

Question: After the SGC find out the Russians have the Alpha gate and they're using the original DHD and then the SGC get the Alpha stargate back, do they hook up the DHD? If not, why?

Answer: No, in the episode "48 Hours", the SGC uses the Russian gate to retrieve their offworld teams and borrows the Russian's DHD to rescue Teal'c who is trapped in the gate's memory buffer. The procedure works, but destroys the DHD in the process.

Question: What is the song playing when Kevin Bacon is driving his car? It wasn't "Power Struggle" by Sunna.

Answer: I checked the movie's credits (original concept, I know) then I listened to the song in the film and found the lyrics at http://www.letssingit.com/sunna-power-struggle-1bdk7zz.html and http://84210992.home.icq.com/lyrics.html and I can assure you that it was, in fact, "Power Struggle" by Sunna.

Answer: Do you mean the scene where he is invisible, wearing his mask? If so, the song is called Charlie Big Potato by Skunk Anansie.
