Question: Given that the remote was right in front of her, how is it possible that Jessie could miss seeing who turned on the TV?

Bane91

Answer: She was "asleep" so it's possible that the angle her head was at she couldn't see.

Answer: She simply didn't notice that the remote wasn't in front of her, and Pete must have been extra sneaky.

Question: Alice has a vision while Renesmee is hugging Bella and Edward and Jacob is watching. In Alice's vision, is the girl Jacob is with Renesmee all grown up? Are her and Jacob a thing since Jacob imprinted on her?

Answer: That is the grown-up Renesmee who Alice sees, but the vision is rather vague. As has been pointed out by the Cullens, Alice's visions are subjective. If the people she sees in them change direction or make different decisions, then the visions become different. It is implied that Jacob and Renesmee will become a romantic couple after she matures. Even if they don't, because Jacob has imprinted on her, he will always be her protector.

Question: At the very beginning when the twins are talking to Scarlett it sounds to me like George Reeves says something about the "other 48 states" wanting war. Am I hearing that incorrectly? There were only 34 states when the war began.

William Lanigan Premium member

Answer: To answer your question, I looked for on-line versions of the "Gone with the Wind" screenplay. What you are hearing as "other 48 states" is actually "those fool Yankees." The full line is, "Y'know, those fool Yankees actually want a war?" Also, the line is actually said by Stuart Tarleton, played Fred Crane, not by George Reeves as his twin brother, Drew. In writing, it doesn't seem they would sound alike. When I watched the opening scene of "gwtw" on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymbmvQJcLDc&t=6s), I can see how the error was made. I might have misheard it, as well, if I didn't already know what the line was from my research. Mr. Crane's enunciation is rather muddled.

Michael Albert

Answer: In the version I am watching it is definitely Reeves' character who say the line, right after he tells Scarlett "War. Isn't it exciting Scarlett?" Then comes what sounds like what I posted. Is it possible there are different versions?

Question: One of the episodes had a ventriloquist with his dummy and I believe it was Dan that threw the dummy out the window. I can't seem to find the season and episode number. Any help?

Shotsky

Answer: S04e01, "The Next Voice You Hear", has a courtroom full of ventriloquist and dummies, which may be what you're thinking about. In it, one of the ventriloquist's dummy "commits suicide" by falling out the window of Harry's office. The ventriloquist is crushed by the dummy's "death" and Dan offers to "help." So the ventriloquist leaves the dummy, which was covered in a sheet, and Dan looks and the dummy talks to Dan. It takes a few seconds for Dan to realise what just happened and he jumps up, screams, and runs off.

Question: How was Loki able to get Mjolnir off him to stop Thor from destroying the bridge if he is not able to lift it due to being unworthy?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Loki was not able to remove Mjolnir. Thor summoned Mjolnir before he started to destroy the rainbow bridge. Thus Loki was free to move again.

Question: When David is flicking through the TV channels, what is the music that is playing when the testcard is on? This is muted on the DVD release for some reason. It's only heard on the original release and the VHS release.

Answer: Blue moon.

Question: Rango's tall tale involves him killing all 7 Jenkins brothers with 1 bullet. Such an act doesn't seem possible. Rango also doesn't sound like he's telling the truth either, so why do the townspeople believe him?

Answer: The townspeople don't seem to be very smart as well as gullible.

Question: Do they clone the great white sharks that are fed to the mosasaurus? Great whites are endangered, and it's difficult to see the park getting away with using an endangered species as fodder for an exhibit.

Jukka Nurmi

Answer: Most likely yes, the great whites are cloned, raised in captivity, and used as a food source. They can clone extinct animals, living ones may be a lot easier.

MasterOfAll

Answer: It was never explained how they obtained the monosaurus' food, but it was likely fed a variety of fish, reptiles, etc. Even if they cloned great whites, it would be extremely difficult, it not impossible, to raise and keep that many in captivity. Sharks need specific environmental conditions to survive, including the need to keep constantly moving, otherwise they will die. The amount and cost of all the food it would take to feed all the feeder sharks would probably be more than what the monosaurus eats. The fact that a great white shark is shown appears to be an inside nod to Steven Spielberg's earliest movie hit, "Jaws."

raywest Premium member

True but Colin Trevorrow mentioned how he was worried if it would come across as a jab to Steven's Jaws, which wasn't his intention at all.

Answer: It's possible they breed these animals or that they are indeed cloned much like the same way the dinosaurs are cloned. But perhaps, since this is a different reality, the great white might not be endangered anymore in this movie.

lionhead

Answer: I'm pretty sure sharks are not the only things being fed to the dinosaur.

Question: Did Raoul actually love Christine? Or did he just take interest in her because she was the lead role who was also pretty?

Answer: He was in love with her.

Question: When the guy robs Cher, why doesn't he take her jewellery too? He only takes her bag and phone.

Answer: We have no way of knowing why the robber did not take her jewelry. He may have thought it was cheap costume jewelry and not worth bothering about, unlike her bag and phone.

Question: Why did Slughorn even tell Tom Riddle about Horcruxes in the first place?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Because he made a foolish mistake, not realizing what Riddle intended to do. He was assuming at the time that it was a hypothetical conversation. Horcruxes were not a secret, and there was no reason not to tell a student about different types of Dark magic, and Riddle already knew much about it. He was seeking additional information.

Season 7 generally

Question: Just what size relationship would the dragon eggs be compared to the adults? In season one, we see the eggs as being roughly the size of eggplants or a child's football, at the start of Season 7, the dragons thereof have grown to 747 (whale?) size. Just how big would the laying mother have been? Even if she reproduced in the equivalent of a teenage pregnancy, the size of the dragons in past seasons, her offspring would have been dust motes compared to her. If Season 7 represents them fully-grown (and think about it if they are not!), the dragon's biological mother would have been truly gargantuan compared to her offspring.

dizzyd

Answer: In the universe shown in this series, dragons can technically grow indefinitely. They continue to grow throughout their lives. They will stop growing, however if they live in captivity in a confined space. There is therefore no standard size for an adult dragon.

Unrest at the Nursery! - S15-E47

Question: Why did Vullaby run away from the nursery? Was it because of Layla hurting her feelings?

Answer: Yes it ran away because Layla hurt its feelings.

Question: Were any Japanese killed by the bombardment by the battleships?

Answer: Not many. The Americans had grossly underestimated the level of preparedness the Japanese had achieved. Their artillery was dug in underground, as were there soldiers. It was only after bitter hand to hand fighting that the extent of the Japanese defences was revealed. Certainly more them were killed by committing suicide than the very ineffectual naval bombardment.

Question: Why did Ultron kill Strucker?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Ultron is doing what he was programmed to do: produce peace on Earth. Strucker opposed that, so Ultron killed him once gaining information about Hydra's base in Sokovia.

Answer: To get the twins on his side.

MasterOfAll

Question: Where did all of the kids' parents go that required babysitters for the entire night? Seems like a small town such as Haddonfield would not have many options.

Answer: There are only two families that hire babysitters in the film, the Doyle and Wallace families. Where they went is never explained, but it could be potentially anywhere. They could have gone on a trip out of town for the night, they don't have to be in Haddonfield.

BaconIsMyBFF

Answer: Annual Halloween party as evidenced in the following instalment. Dr Mixtner was drunk and was at a party. The Strodes were also at a party, the same one if I recall correctly as the doctor.

Alan Keddie

Also we only SEE two families have babysitters. Other families could have had babysitters. We just don't see this. (I'm not sure if this adds anything additionally to the question asked, tho).

Question: Ron said that Mrs Weasley invited Harry for Christmas weeks ago but why did she not invite Hermione at that point?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Hermione always spent Christmas with her parents. The Weasleys invited Harry so that he would not have to stay at Hogwarts over the school break. He never spent the Christmas holiday with his aunt and uncle.

Question: Why does Laurie drop off mail (that her father gave her) to the Myers house, which is abandoned? Why bring mail to an abandoned house?

rainbowriot

Answer: Laurie's father, Mason Strode, is a realtor who owns Strode Real Estate, and there's a realty sign post in the front yard of the old Myers house. Mason tells Laurie, "They're coming by to look at it later," so we know he's talking about people interested in buying the old property. When Michael sniffs the envelope we see the Strode Real Estate logo, and it presumably contains realtor's paperwork which is pertinent to the sale of the house, and is meant for the people who will be coming by later.

Question: What kind of animal is Priscilla?

Answer: Cactus mouse.

Bishop73

If you have the DVD watch the "Animals of dirt" in special features. She is an eye-eye. Found in Madagascar.

If the DVD says she suppose to be an aye-aye (there's no animal called an eye-eye), then she is terribly drawn. 1) Aye-ayes have long, skinny fingers, with an extended middle finger. 2) Aye-ayes have bushy tails, not the thin tail Priscilla has. 3) Aye-ayes are primates and Priscilla appears to be a rodent.

Bishop73

Even though it said that she was there would have been no way. For one it's across the world and two that would be illegal animal trading.

Question: Since the Mudokons, Scrabs, Paramites and Meeches have meat muscles in their bodies to make meat, is it possible that the Sligs and Glukkons do as well?
