Visible crew/equipment: At the structure fire, right after Captain Stanley and Roy throw the rope down to Johnny and the boy, and Cap tells Marco to use fog, in the next overhead shot as the guys use the axe on the partition fire, at the right side of the screen we can see a crew member wearing a short sleeve grey T-shirt, who's standing at the stairway landing right outside the door, as he's using the FX smoke/fog machine which is blowing smoke through the doorway.Super Grover
Continuity mistake: When Engine 51 gets the run in the middle of the night, the engine company rushes to the rig including Johnny, which leaves Roy standing in the dorm alone. After he shouts out to Johnny from the doorway, when Roy turns to go back into the dorm, some changes have occurred - the locker room door is now closed, there are clothes lying on Cap's bed where none were a moment ago, etc.Super Grover
Continuity mistake: When Engine 51 gets the run in the middle of the night, Johnny's so tired that he stands on Engine 51's tailboard half asleep, and as it rolls out of the bay and makes a right turn, Roy shouts out to him that the run is not for them. There are two problems with this. The entire back of Engine 51 is different between the closeup and wide shot - the surface, the lights, the license plate area, etc. Also, the engine makes a right turn out of the bay, but Roy's looking out towards the left while he's shouting, as if the engine's turning left.Super Grover
Visible crew/equipment: When the guy is stuck in the tree after his hang gliding accident, John ties the rope around the branch and begins to saw the branch while Roy uses that rope to slowly lower the branch. The problem is that just as the branch nears the ground, we can see the production crew's thin double lines securing the branch at the top right of the screen, and then those lines vanish when Roy joins John.Super Grover
Visible crew/equipment: After rescuing the foreman and secretary from the structure fire with nitromethane drums, when Roy and John load them onto the ambulance, as Roy shuts the doors the reflections of multiple array lighting rigs can be seen on its window and surface.Super Grover

Trivia: Set in 1924, a set of publicity shots of the Series 5 cast members, new and old, were rolled out, and one shot in particular was quite revealing. Sitting on the mantelpiece behind cast members Hugh Bonneville and Laura Carmichael, who play the Earl of Grantham and Lady Edith, was a modern-day plastic bottle of water.Super Grover

Visible crew/equipment: When Rhonda's in the kitchen with Bobby, and she tells him that it's enough with all the salmon dishes, as the camera zooms in we can see the crew member (wearing a pouch at his hip) with his arm up, at the left of the screen, as he's presumably holding up the boom pole and mic.Super Grover
Continuity mistake: When Sam and Carter leave the dance and run to the Mercedes so Sam can get back to the diner by midnight, in the long shot before they reach the car we see, one, that Sam pulls off her mask as she's running, and two, there's a rearview mirror on the Mercedes. In the following shots the mask is still on her face, and the rearview mirror has vanished again.Super Grover
Charlie: Well, as long as I'm here, let me take a look at it.
Captain Stanley: Oh, I see you guys got some help.
Charlie: Hi, Hank.
Johnny: Not really. We fixed it ourselves.
Charlie: These two prima donnas here don't believe in calling in a repair. They wanna do my job for me.
Roy: It was just a loose connection there.
Charlie: Now they're telling me I'm not needed around here.
Johnny: No, Charlie, we're not telling you that at all.
Charlie: What's this? What... What IS this? Adhesive tape here?
Roy: Well, there was a bare connection there.
Charlie: You thought it was gonna bleed to death, so you put a bandage on her, right?
Roy: Look, we were at the hospital and we just put it on just to get us back here to the station.
Charlie: You got tape?
Johnny: Yeah. [Gives Charlie proper tape.]
Charlie: If it wasn't for me, you guys would probably give an IV to the gas line and debrillitate the battery.
Charlie: I think you guys are playing games with me, and I don't like it.
Roy: Now, wait a minute. We're not playing games. We don't play games with the equipment...
Captain Stanley: Wait, hold on. C'mon everybody, look we're all on the same side here, aren't we?
Charlie: I wonder.
Captain Stanley: Charlie, why can't we put the squad in the shop and have us a reserve vehicle here?
Charlie: No, no, Hank. Not until I'm 100% sure that I can't fix it. If there's anything wrong with it. This coffee stinks. [Leaves the room.]
Captain Stanley: You guys playing some kind of joke on him?
John: We didn't make the coffee!
Captain Stanley: Not the coffee, you twit, the squad.
Roy: Cap, there's something wrong with that squad out there.
Captain Stanley: [sigh.] All right, if you say so... I made the coffee.
Roy: I think you're on some sort of an ego trip, Ed. And in my book that makes you a very dangerous character.
Ed: [Laughs.] Ego trip, huh? Well, I didn't realize that psychiatry was part of the paramedic's training.
Roy: Oh that's good, Ed, you be funny. But that isn't gonna change anything. You wanna know what I figure? Well, I figure when you were working in Vietnam, it was rough. So rough you started playing over your head. And you were making it, you were doing real good. Considering it was a combat situation. And pretty soon you started getting all blown up about how Ed Marlowe is just as good as the real doctors. And you've been living on that ever since. And the trouble is, Ed, you are good. Except for two little problems. You can't quit competing with real doctors. And you can't face being wrong. You see, those people we treat out there, I mean the people we work for, the people who pay for this whole operation, they're real people, Ed, with real problems. And they have a right to expect more than just being used by you for some sort of trip. [Completely exasperated.] I guess what I'm trying to say to you, Ed, is that in my book you're just plain unprofessional.
[Ed walks out.]
John: Do you think it did any good?
Roy: Do you?

Revealing mistake: At the studio, in the overhead shot just as the squad is about to reach the building where Johnny will be testing Wally's equipment, the 'Black Tower', which houses Universal's executive offices, is visible in the background, and then in the roof shots when each of the guys repels down individually, the Sheraton-Universal is visible in the background.Super Grover
