Character mistake: On scene at the vehicle accident, John palpates a pulse on the driver's leg and tells Roy that he's got a good strong foot pulse. Then when Roy's on the line with Rampart we hear him say, "He has a strong fetal pulse," but presumably Roy certainly must have meant to say, "strong pedal pulse."

Character mistake: When Dr. Brackett is showing the paramedic trainees the defibrillator and how it's used on a patient, Brackett places the paddle electrodes on the Defib tester to display its effectiveness, and says, "Eyes on the V-fib tester." However, it's not a V-fib tester to test for ventricular fibrillation, it's a Defib tester, testing the effectiveness of the external defibrillator's electrical shock.

Pupils are equal and reactive, negative on the IV at this time," as if Brackett ordered an IV, but Brackett never said anything to Squad 51 about any IV.

When Roy and John are there the first time, it's for no more than five minutes. Body Language - S3-E12

Character mistake: When Johnny and Roy respond to the 'possible injury at the horse ranch', after the guy who was knocked unconscious gets back on the horse, Johnny tells Roy, "Why don't we stick around for another few minutes, unless we get another call." They did not contact the dispatcher that the squad's available, so they would not even be dispatched to another call, since they're already on that run.

Heavyweight - S3-E5

Character mistake: When Johnny first contacts Rampart via landline about the stabbing victim, while Roy is across the street with the gunshot victim, Brackett gets on the line and asks Johnny if he started an IV, to which Johnny replies no, then he asks what the vitals are. Johnny has only just made contact with Brackett about this patient, so Johnny could not have started an IV without the doctor's consent, Brackett knows this. This goes against established procedure.

When Chet and the captain come out, the captain points to Chet and then points up the hallway, while he says "All right, take off you two," even though it's only Chet who's heading outside to be decontaminated, and he could not have meant, "All right, take off you too," for the same reason.
