New this month Plot hole: Linderman didn't know who Jason was after the rave massacre, calling him a "psycho in the hockey-mask", but later in the film when Stubb's is telling them (Will, Lori, linderman, Freeburg and Kia) about thinking Jason is a copycat, Linderman suddenly acts like he knows who they're dealing with when he didn't before. "I've seen what he can do, he's the real Jason."

The Lost Boys (1987)

Other mistake: Max says that Michael is the "Man of the house" and won't come in until he's invited, which Michael sarcastically does, except Michael isn't the man of the house - its actually his grandfather who owns it.

The Lost Boys (1987)

Question: The grandfather says at the very end that he knew all along about the vampires, so why didn't he tell Sam or Michael before?

Joey221995

Answer: Probably because it was just boasting, and he didn't really know they were vampires until the very end. He may have suspected, but never had definitive proof.

raywest Premium member

Answer: It was also in keeping with Grandpa's eccentric nature; if he'd said anything about the vampires before, they might have assumed he was either joking or possibly becoming senile.

Continuity mistake: Linderman accidentally shoots a Glock 17 in the van, grazing Will's right ear who grabs it, but during the remainder of the film there isn't a graze on his ear at all.

Joey221995

Plot hole: There's no way Jason could decapitate Blake's father the way he did without also decapitating Blake, who was sitting next to him sleeping.

Joey221995

Continuity mistake: When Minxie sees the Creeper running on the field and throws the shuriken at the bus tire it's still daytime, but when the shuriken actually hits the bus tire it's all of a sudden nighttime.

Question: What did CJ mean when he said, "f*cking figures", before he blew himself up with some of the zombies?

Joey221995

Answer: "Figures" is an English expression of figure of speech about something happens and a predicament winding up a certain way. It's a play on the mathematical term of figures in an equation having a determined answer. If you follow the figures, of course you get what is comes as the answer. This is often used in real life situations as a figure of speech, where of course the stuff that happens leads to this. It "figures." So basically CJ was saying, "of course this is what happens."

Factual error: The cat lady shoots at the Creeper three times, with a double barrel shotgun.

The Lion King (1994)

Question: What kind of fruit was it with the juice inside which Rafiki cracks open at the beginning, and near the middle of the movie when he discovers that Simba is alive?

Joey221995

Answer: It's suppose to be the fruit of the Baobab tree. Although there's no seeds in it when he cracks it open.

The Lion King (1994)

Question: Before Scar 'betrays' the hyenas by saying that they were the real enemy, (Shenzi, Banzai and Ed are shown to have overheard), what were they doing up there in the first place before they overheard Scar?

Joey221995

Answer: They were probably going to help Scar defeat Simba by jumping on him since he couldn't see them but after overhearing what Scar said decided to kill him. It's really speculation but, that's just one of many different possibilities.

Ghost Ship (2002)

Other mistake: Ferriman says he can only mark someone if they do something sinful first. Dodge shouldn't have been marked as he technically shot Ferriman in self-defense, which isn't considered a sin, but near the end Epps sees her dead crewmates and Dodge is also shown as well as marked.

Underworld (2003)

Continuity mistake: Whenever Raze transforms into his wolf form he takes off his jacket, but when he leads the other werewolves to assassinate the council members and to drain Amelia of her blood he all of a sudden has his jacket on. He couldn't have stored it on the train.

Underworld (2003)

Plot hole: Singe states that Viktor and Amelia are pure-blooded Vampires, and seems to agree when Viktor calls the story of the Corvinus Clan a legend. However, Evolution shows that Lucian had formed a partnership with Andreas Tanis, a Vampire who was outcast by Viktor specifically because he knew the truth of the Corvinus Clan and the origins of the Vampire and Lycan bloodlines. Given his lack of loyalty to the Vampires, there is no reason why Tanis would not have told Lucian that Viktor and Amelia are not pure-bloods, or that the legend of the Corvinus clan was entirely true. Lucian would have passed this information to Singe, as it would be vital to his work.

Question: Did Captain Phasma die?

Joey221995

Answer: Phasma is apparently dead, and Last Jedi director Rian Johnson says there are no plans to revive the character in the next film. However, the ending was ambiguous enough that it leaves open the possibility of the character returning.

Question: What did Dr. Hirsch mean when he said to Alex how he witnessed "some form of mass neurosis in East Proctor"?

Joey221995

Answer: He was referring to the local residents that lived in the area who, unknown to the doctor, knew about and were terrorized by the werewolf that roamed the countryside during a full moon. The doctor thought they suffered from some type of mass mental illness.

Halloween 4 (1988)

Plot hole: Michael throws Dr. Loomis out a window which surely would have killed him, but he shows up near the end at the Carruthers house perfectly fine (albeit with cuts on his face).

Dr. Dolittle (1998)

Question: Why did Geno break Mark's nose at the end during the party?

Joey221995

Answer: Geno deliberately broke Mark's nose during the party after Mark made a snide remark. After the party, when Mark suggested a way to have John committed and still get their money, Geno had enough of Mark's ignorance and punched him in the nose again to add further insult to injury.
