Young Sheldon (2017)

Jiu-Jitsu, Bubble Wrap, and Yoo-Hoo - S1-E17

New this week Question: Why does the girl who keeps going after Sheldon go after him at all? She looks at him like she just hates his guts and would love to kill him, but why? I know that bullies go after the weaker people but she seems to act like Sheldon ruined her life or something.

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

New this month Question: Why did Mrs Weasley believe that stuff Skeeter wrote about Harry and Hermione? She knows Hermione and knows what kind of person Skeeter is.

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

New this month Answer: Molly should have known it wasn't true, but her over-protectiveness regarding Harry may have affected her logic. She may also have been affected by Ron and Hermione's ongoing rift (over Viktor Krum) and knows that girls that age can be fickle and illogical when it comes to romance. Although her emotions got the better of her, Molly eventually realises that Rita Skeeter's stories were fake.

New this month Question: Spoiler alert. When Gamora seemingly kills Thanos on Knowhere, why is she crying? Isn't this what she wanted?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

New this month Answer: Despite what she may say otherwise, deep down she loves Thanos. She knows he's a genocidal madman that must be stopped at all costs, but it doesn't change the way she feels about him.

New this month Question: Why did Ripper bite Vernon's leg? Did he think he was inflating Marge, or was Harry using his magic to control the dog into doing it?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

New this month Answer: Ripper is just a mean dog and badly raised by Marge (who is a dog breeder).

lionhead

New this month Answer: That, and he was also instinctively protecting his awful mistress.

Plus some dogs are just nasty and bite for the sake of it.

New this month Question: Why couldn't the ministry just book the Quidditch world cup to be held in Hogsmeade or something? Due to what Harry and Arthur are saying on pages 66-67 about trying to get there without the muggles noticing? I remember Hermione saying that Hogsmeade is the only non muggle place in Britain so you can't get a much better place.

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

New this month Answer: It's doubtful that Hogsmeade has the room for a full Quidditch pitch and thousands of campsites, especially without disrupting what's already going on there.

Greg Dwyer

New this month Question: By the sounds of it, Wilbur was wanting a divorce or something but why? Is it because Marissa's a spy?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

New this month Question: Why did Dennis run away from George and Martha's house?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

New this month Answer: Because of what George said to him in the house after he was robbed. He hurt Dennis' feelings so he ran away.

Spider-Man 2 (2004)

New this month Question: Since the board fired Norman in the last movie, how come Harry became the new owner after he died?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

New this month Answer: Norman killed the other board members at the World Unity Festival. If he did so before all the legal requirements of removing him from the company were completed, then their intentions would effectively be null and void and Norman would remain the owner.

Serious B Premium member

New this month Answer: Despite being removed as CEO, Norman would still own the stock, which would then be passed on to Harry.

Question: Was there a deleted scene where Clint tells Cap that he is definitely retired this time?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: No, Civil War barely has any deleted scenes, and not one between Cap and Hawkeye.

The Karate Kid (2010)

Question: I don't understand that when Cheng keeps picking on Dre, he's telling Dre to stay away from him and his friends. Can someone please explain that?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: It is a common bullying tactic, telling someone to "stay away" from you knowing they cannot. Kids who go to the same school or live in the same neighborhood are bound to run into each other. It just gives the bully an excuse to antagonize the victim whenever they do run into each other because the victim isn't following orders to "stay away."

Question: Can someone please explain why Carmen has to say "My feet stink"?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Question: Is it possible to see Cho at Cedric's funeral?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: I watched the clip on YouTube, stopping and enlarging the image to scan it, but I did not see Cho sitting among the other students at Cedric's memorial scene. She may have been sitting in an area in the back or off to the side where the faces were less visible or else she was too distraught to attend the ceremony.

Question: Why didn't Poe go with Rose, Finn and BB-8 to find the master code breaker?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: There was no reason all three had to go. Poe was more useful staying behind and helping with the resistance.

raywest Premium member

New this month Answer: He had to stay, to ensure the fleet would make the jump to light-speed. Finn knew the ship's layout and Rose was needed to disable the tracker. Poe stayed to convince Holdo that it was safe to use light-speed again.

Question: Why does Hermione think Crouch is very lucky no one knows about him firing Winky (which she defines as being mean to elves)? A smart person like Hermione should know they'd care more about the dark mark than Winky being fired. I know how Hermione is with elves and I know it's weird to just fire her to Hermione (who did not know the whole story), But why does she think Winky being fired not getting out is lucky for Crouch when Voldemort's sign has just been shown for the first time in 13 years?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Hermione is saying that Crouch is a bad person for treating his house elf like that and that people would think the same if they knew it. She's not saying that the Dark Mark doesn't matter.

Greg Dwyer

Question: Why does Hermione not care about Crookshanks trying to eat Scabbers?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: There's a few reasons. Hermione thinks Ron is over-reacting about it and that he is only trying to blame her for something. She's also being a bit insensitive to the situation, ignoring any real concerns Ron has. It's part of their simmering personality conflict, which they eventually overcome.

Question: How come Hermione never receives a Weasley jumper? She'd earn one to cancel a trip with her parents after never seeing them to stay with the Weasleys and make sure Arthur was OK, surely?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Molly wasn't ignoring Hermione. She knew Hermione's parents always gave her nice gifts for her birthday, Christmas, etc. Molly gave Harry a sweater because she knew his Aunt and Uncle never gave him any gifts. She simply didn't want Harry to be left out when everyone else got something. Also, Molly knitted the sweaters herself, taking some time to make them. She did not anticipate Hermione being there.

Question: Why didn't Snoke even try to recruit Rey, as she is stronger than Ben?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Even if she is stronger, loyalty would also play a part in whether or not he would want to recruit her. Snoke probably knows that like Luke Skywalker, she would never turn to the dark side.

Question: Spoilers! Is Luke dead? It was just a hologram of him fighting Kylo Ren but the real Luke seems to have disappeared.

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: He is dead. Although a Jedi can still interact with the living as a Force Ghost, so expect to see Luke in Star Wars IX. It wasn't a hologram of Luke, he used Force Projection to be there. However, the act required too much energy and was too strenuous for Luke's body to handle, and the strain is what caused him to die.

Bishop73

Question: Why did Ben destroy the mask?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Snoke had just insulted him for wearing the mask and belittled him for his feeble attempts to become another Darth Vader. Ben smashed the mask out of anger, feeling he had given everything he had to Snoke and the Dark Side by murdering his father and all he got in return was a rebuke for his incompetence in failing to defeat the un-trained Rey. The smashing of the mask was symbolic of Ben's decision to stop trying to be what he thought Snoke wanted and just be himself.

BaconIsMyBFF

Question: How come Eric reformed?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: He realised the mutants he was helping Apocalypse fight against had always been there for him.
