The Lost Boys (1987)
Question: This may just be me over analysing the film but this is something that has been eating away at me for a while - In this film, one of the vampires tells the Frog Brothers that garlic doesn't work, however through the next two films, Edgar Frog can be seen using garlic numerous times. Was the vampire lying or is this a mistake on the film maker's part?
Answer: He was lying. He was trying to scare them, not expecting them to scoop the water and throw it at him.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001)
Question: I have seen and heard this movie referred to as both Philosophers Stone, and Sorcerer's Stone. Why and when are both used and what is correct? Why is the wrong one also used?
Chosen answer: Here is the explanation on IMDb'S website: To appeal to the American audience. This was a marketing decision made by author Rowling and Scholastic, the publishing house that released the novel in the United States. The decision to change Philosopher to Sorcerer was made because, in the U.S., a philosopher connotes a scholar of philosophy, ethics, metaphysics, logic, and other related fields. Philosopher does not typically connote an alchemist or magician, and magic is essential to the Harry Potter books. Consequently, the publisher suggested using another word with a more magical connotation, and Rowling suggested Sorcerer. Rowling gives this explanation: "Arthur Levine, my American editor, and I decided that words should be altered only where we felt they would be incomprehensible, even in context, to an American reader. The title change was Arthur's idea initially, because he felt that the British title gave a misleading idea of the subject matter. In England, we discussed several alternative titles and Sorcerer's Stone was my idea." For the movie, the different titles were used in different markets, and each scene where the Stone's name is used had to be filmed twice, once with "Philosopher's Stone" in the dialogue and once with "Sorcerer's Stone."

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)
Question: In Horace Slughorn's house, what was that dragon blood dripping on the ceiling about? He has a dragon?
Answer: Slughorn knew Dumbledore was on his way and what he wanted. He made the house a "disaster" area in hoped it would fool Dumbledore into thinking Deatheaters were there. He put the dragon blood there hoping Dumbledore believed someone had been killed and would leave. But when Dumbledore realized it was dragon's blood, not human, he knew what Slughorn was up to.

Question: How was the title of this episode written? It makes no sense; is it a play on words or something?
Chosen answer: It is basically in reference to the fact that when they arrived, everything that was happening happened when they were leaving the last world. So it was basically time again means it is the same thing and world means similar world.

Gremlins (1984)
Question: I have 2 questions. When Billy takes the mogwai to his science teacher to demonstrate how they multiply, is it Gizmo that he drips the water on? Or is it one of the first five? Also what happens to him when he changes into a gremlin? Is it safe to assume that he ended up joining with the others? I don't recall the movie ever explaining what happened to him when he escaped through the air vent.
Chosen answer: It is one of the first five. You can easily tell after he drops the water on it, the 2 gremlins are on either side of the box communicating with each other. They show them both and neither is Gizmo. As for what happened after it escaped in the air vent, it never shows so we assume it joined the others.

Final Destination 2 (2003)
Question: How did Thomas and Kimberly die?
Chosen answer: In the alternate ending of Final Destination 3, a newspaper blows by, revealing Kimberly and Burke ran into each other at a hardware store and a Camaro (belonging to Evan) ran through the store, knocking them into a nearby woodchipper. Kimberly's coat was tangled and was snatched into the machine. Burke attempted to save her, and both were dismembered.
How come Thomas didn't die first in the sequence of death? He was the first to be killed in the car wreck?
Death was working in reverse order. The last person to die in the premonition was the first person to die in the real world.
Answer: No, Thomas wouldn't have died first because it was explained that Death was going backwards since everyone that died in the first movie made some people miss their death date, so he had to tie up the loose ends.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
Question: Why does Freddy come back in the end? I thought he was dead? Why is he killing now the adults?
Answer: It's a nod to the original Nightmare on Elm Street where the same thing happened at the end of the movie to Nancy's mother. Also you have to remember that Gwen, whom he killed at the end, was part of the mob who burned him alive. Can we say revenge?

The Ring (2002)
Question: At the end of the movie, Aidan asks Rachel what will become of the person they show Aidan's copy of the videotape to as, according to the rule, in order for Aidan to be saved, he must make a copy (which Rachel helps him do) and show it to another individual. I want to know who? The second movie, which takes place about six months later, never clears this up. If Aidan is still alive six months after the events of the first movie, who did he show the video to in order to save himself? It couldn't have been his mother, because the rule says anyone who watches the cursed tape must show it to someone who has never seen it before.
Answer: A deleted scene shows the tape sitting on a shelf in a video rental store. It's safe to assume someone from that store rented it.
Answer: There was originally a "bookend" plot where a convicted murderer goes to Rachel claiming he's "found God and has reformed", at the end of the movie she gives him the tape since she (rightfully) didn't believe him. This plot was scrapped when test audiences didn't understand and demanded more of the actor.

Final Destination 2 (2003)
Question: Why does Alex die before Clear? Wasn't she supposed to be next after Carter? I mean, Alex was supposed to die first but Carter intervened making death repeat the cycle according to the path of the explosion which included Carter dying first, then Clear second and finally Alex. Why didn't this happen?
Chosen answer: His death happened between movies. We don't know how many times they intervened with each other before he finally was killed.
Answer: In the movie clear tells the others she and Alex saved each other countless times, however if you pause the movie and enlarge the scenes where it's flashing all the news paper articles it tells you that Alex was killed by a falling brick. I do believe Alex pushed clear out of the way of the brick.
Answer: Death works backwards now in this movie.

I saw a movie early last year on Netflix where a blonde woman moves into a trailer park and it's a little weird. It was a pretty good movie and I'd like to see it again.

Question: "I call it Earl Jr. Likes to hang out with Daddy." When Earl says this, he is referring to the gun he pulls out at the coke factory, and uses it throughout the movie. It is an awesome little gun, and appears to be an automatic pistol of some sorts and has a flashlight attached to the front. Does anybody know what kind of gun that is?
Chosen answer: Here is a description of the gun according to the IMDb: "Earl's automatic pistol, "Earl Jr.", is a Glock 17 converted to fire fully-automatic. Glock 18C's, as it was meant to portray, have a rate-of-fire selector switch on the slide." http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0271668/trivia.
