The Naked Time - S1-E5

Other mistake: In the Briefing Room, while Kirk is feeling the effects of the disease, Spock tells Scotty that he will call the restart formula in from the bridge. But just a moment later, Kirk enters the Bridge, and Spock is in the Engine Room working on the settings and formula with Scotty.

Too Many Cooks - S8-E1

Factual error: While eating, General Haggarty was told about how Conway should be a cook. Haggarty said "Change his (Conway's) MOS. MOS means Military Occupational Specialty, your job in service. Since M*A*S*H was set in the early 50's, Haggarty wouldn't have said that, because 'MOS' wasn't used until 1965.

Suggested correction: "MOS" most certainly was used during the Korean War. In 1965, the MOS system was simply changed, not created.

Bishop73

I perhaps misspoke. It was titled PMOS, and revamped in 1965 as just MOS. My apologies and thanks for the info.

According to "Introduction to Special Regulations SR 615-25-15, Enlisted Personnel Military Occupational Specialties" from the Department of the Army in November 1950, it's MOS. The "P" just means primary, but MOS was/is used way more than PMOS.

M*A*S*H (1972)

Factual error: While in space, Superman and Nuclear Man's capes are flapping. Since it is a vacuum, there is no air, therefore the capes shouldn't flap. Likewise, on the moon, the dust and dirt are moving too quickly to be in a micro gravity situation.

Movie Nut

Other mistake: As Superman flies past the subway train, it's obvious that the train is sitting still, as the view of the tunnel shown it is stationary.

Trivia: In the original cut, the man reporting from Epsilon 9 says the cloud measures "Over 82 AUs in diameter. Since an Astronomical Unit is the distance between the Earth and Sun is 92,955,807.3 miles, 82 AUs would be 7,622,376,198.6 miles. In the Collector's and Director's cuts, it has been redone as 2 AUs, or 185,911,614.6 miles.

The Last Sunset - S1-E17

Other mistake: After the alien probe emits atmosphere on the surface, there's suddenly full gravity, as evidenced by the first two people walking normally. There was no mention of full gravity on the Moon's surface, as all walking before was in microgravity.

Boardroom and a Parked Place - S5-E6

Trivia: Towards the end of the episode, Mr Stein (Gene Wilder) says "From the heart of my bottom." Then a moment later says "Wait a minute...strike that, reverse it", an homage to Willy Wonka, the character he played in the 1971 movie "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory."

Factual error: As BJ gets into the jeep with Hawkeye, he holds up a container of Fig Newtons. Trouble is, during the time period, they would have been in a cardboard box, not the clear plastic tray.
