The Fever - S1-E17

Continuity mistake: In the final scene, the position of the silver dollar lying next to Franklin's hand changes several times between shots. (00:23:45)

The Fever - S1-E17

Trivia: The slot machines in this episode had to be obtained from the LAPD's impound lockers, because slots were illegal in California at the time. Said producer Buck Houghton, "There was a policeman on the set at all times, to make damn sure that somebody didn't take one off and set it up in his uncle's barber shop."

Elegy - S1-E20

Revealing mistake: Throughout the episode, the "frozen" people can be seen breathing and moving slightly. This is particularly apparent in the beauty contest tableau.

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk and the Big Game - S5-E3

Visible crew/equipment: As Monk and Natalie leave the victim's brother's apartment, part of the camera rig can be seen moving across the bottom of the screen. (00:26:20)

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk Bumps His Head - S4-E11

Continuity mistake: When Cora goes upstairs, her cat is curled up asleep in a chair. In the next, close-up shot, the cat is awake and sitting at the edge of the chair cushion, looking up at Monk with its front feet hanging over the side. When the shot cuts to wide angle again, kitty is instantly back in his original position, snoozing far from the edge and curled up against the pillows. (00:32:45)

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk Takes His Medicine - S3-E9

Continuity mistake: During Monk and Sharona's race to the armored car robbery scene, the red Mustang's rear-view mirror disappears. When they arrive, though, it's back in place on the windshield. (00:36:30 - 00:38:30)

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk and the Girl Who Cried Wolf - S3-E6

Visible crew/equipment: Nurse Davis swings open Disher's car door at the end, and captures a reflection of the camera and the entire film crew standing nearby. (00:40:40)

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk and the Very, Very Old Man - S2-E5

Factual error: When Stottlemeyer backs up the video tape at Monk's house, we can hear the sound chattering backwards. Only a huge industrial (studio) machine would do that. Little home VCRs, like Monk's, mute the sound during in-play rewind and fast forward modes. (00:34:30)

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk Goes to the Circus - S2-E4

Trivia: The traveling circus is called "Dratch and Denby." The first half of the name is a winking nod to Monk story editor and staff writer Daniel Dratch.

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk and the Earthquake - S1-E11

Continuity mistake: After the quake, all but one of the art pieces have fallen out of the Rutherford's display case and lie shattered on the floor. But seconds later, when Christine pushes the cabinet over, most of the broken items have vanished from the floor. (00:02:30)

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk and the Blackout - S3-E3

Hawaii Five-O (1968)

A Bullet for McGarrett - S2-E6

Deliberate mistake: Han is shot several times as he dives from the board into the pool. But when his body is shown slowly floating back to the surface, there's not a trace of blood on him or in the water. (00:03:30)

Babylon 5 (1994)

GROPOS - S2-E10

Continuity mistake: While she stands at attention and the Sgt. Major chews out her unit for fighting, Dodger's hair keeps recombing itself every time the shot changes angles. Her bangs are parted, then solid across her forehead, then parted again. (00:20:00)

Factual error: When Richard first enters the 1912 theatre looking for Elise, he passes through a propped-open door that's equipped with a modern day hydraulic closer. (00:42:00)

Motel Hell (1980)

Continuity mistake: At the end, the buried biker digs himself out of his grave and shuffles to the smokehouse. When he attacks Farmer Vincent, all the soil and mud stains have vanished from his clothing. Guess he must have stopped off at Zombies-R-Us for some fresh new duds. (01:30:00)

Continuity mistake: During their "picnic" in the hotel room, Elise asks Richard what time it is. As he says that he doesn't care, his hands are both down and out of frame. When the angle changes, his right hand is suddenly raised to chin level, holding the champagne glass, with no time for a natural transition to that pose. (01:30:00)

Motel Hell (1980)

Visible crew/equipment: When the trooper gets out of his patrol car and puts on his hat, his oversized sunglasses reflect the camera crew. (00:12:00)

Jean G

Visible crew/equipment: When the elderly Elise returns from Richard's play and closes herself in her room at the Grand Hotel, the camera is briefly visible, reflected in the door glass as she enters the room. (00:04:00)

Jean G

Continuity mistake: When he's tied up in the stable, Richard knocks down and breaks a lantern to cut himself free. He then sits directly in front of it to cut his bonds, and doesn't move to either side before standing up. When he does stand, though, the broken lantern is suddenly more than a foot to his left instead of behind him. (01:24:25)

Bad Chi - S2-E9

Factual error: Darien sets up a tripod and videotapes himself leaving a message for the Agency. When the tape is played back later, the camera can be seen to have both zoomed in and panned to follow his movements, even though no one was there to make those adjustments. (00:30:30)
