Continuity mistake: When the tractor-trailer turns off the pavement to avoid the roadblock, just before the second trailer separates, a quick shot (watching the truck from the front as it enters the shot from the camera's right) shows that there is no second trailer at all. (00:07:25)

Beverly Hills Cop mistake picture

Other mistake: After the early truck chase, Axel arrives at the police station. He walks through a glass door that reads 'Investigaton Operations Division' which is missing the last 'i' in the first word, exactly as I've typed it here. (00:08:10)

Revealing mistake: Scaramanga's jet-car fires up its roof-mounted jet engine and begins to roll forward in the hangar. Despite the fact that we hear the turbine whining loudly at increasing RPMs, the flimsy tan sheeting hanging in front of the jet intake is not sucked in, or even disturbed at all by the air flow. The Man with the Golden Gun mistake picture

Continuity mistake: A significantly modified '74 AMC Hornet was used for the famous cork-screw jump sequence, taking the place of the relatively stock Hornet X used in all other shots. It is best viewed just after the jump as the car slows to turn left - the car has a much lower stance and the wheel wells are far larger. (01:26:50)

The Man with the Golden Gun mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Nick-nack realizes that he and Scaramanga are being followed, there is no round, white decal at the lower corner of the windshield of their AMC Matador, yet in all other shots, the decal is there. (01:22:20)

The Man with the Golden Gun mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When the AMC Matador arrives in the hangar and begins attaching the jet plane equipment, we see a bracket welded to the lower rear quarter panel, just behind the door. The wing supports swing down to attach at this point on both sides of the car, yet these brackets were not on the car in any prior shot. (01:27:35)

Short Time (1990)

Revealing mistake: Throughout the car chase, the same white Plymouth Volare coupe is seen over and over, sometimes parked, sometimes being passed going in the same direction, coming head-on, or getting bumped out of the way.

Dirty Mary Crazy Larry mistake picture

Continuity mistake: While at the pool hall, Mary indicates that the sign in the window describes Larry perfectly. A close-up shows it reads 'Out To Lunch', but the next wide shot shows it reads 'We're Closed'. (01:01:45)

Short Time (1990)

Continuity mistake: During the car chase, the bad guys are in front, followed by several marked police cars, then by the red unmarked car; they are all on a curved exit ramp (after the construction zone). In wide shots with no bullets hitting them, the marked cars are Dodge Diplomats, same as the unmarked red car. But in close-ups, when bullets are striking them, the marked cars magically become Chevrolet Caprices. This occurs at least twice. (VHS version.)

Crimson Tide (1995)

Factual error: At one point, the US sub's starboard (right) side is shown to have an American flag painted on the hull near the bow. The flag's blue field is at top/left when on this side of any vehicle, it should be at top/right. Proper display of the flag requires the blue field always be located 'forward' of the remainder of the flag on all vehicles, be they plane, boat, tank or even space shuttle. (01:19:15)

Dirty Mary Crazy Larry mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When the Charger turns off the paved road onto a dirt siding, it does so to avoid the cop approaching from the left on the side street. As the cop reaches the end of that street, he turns left to race alongside the Charger which is higher up on the dirt path. In the shot from the rear when the cop is turning, we see that he is already beyond the telephone poles that stand between the paved and dirt roads. When the shot changes to running alongside the police car, looking upward at the Charger, a telephone pole magically passes between the cars. Obviously, they started this shot further back. Continuity mistake: After colliding with the red pickup truck,, the trio decide to take the car deeper into the walnut grove to hide out while repairing the front end of the car. An exterior shot starts on the left side of the car as it turns away from the camera and crawls away. The round side-marker light behind the '440' marking and the lack of reverse lights in the rear valance indicates this is a 1968 Charger that is wearing 1969 tail lights, poorly installed. This is the only scene in the film that uses this car in this configuration. (01:13:40)

Factual error: The minivan that Ray drives is shown several times with its rear-most side window rolled all the way down. No such ability exists on any year/model of Chrysler-built minivan. They are either fixed (non-opening) or hinged at their forward edge to open like a 'flap' at the rear edge. The glass isn't broken, as it appears/reappears depending on the scene, and no such customization is possible as such a large window has no place to go down to due to the wheel well location directly below. The windows were obviously removed so the camera could move through the glass without having to use digital effects to go through the window, but in doing so, they created an obvious mistake.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When the TX runs a red light in the stolen Lexus, a cop stopped at the red light does a one-eighty to begin pursuit. When the TX pulls over, the license plate on the cop's squad car is not the same as when it was stopped at the red light. (00:08:10)

johnrosa

Factual error: During the scene where the Terminatrix remotely controls the police and rescue vehicles, we see the police car's shifter drop one notch (from park to reverse) but the car takes off going forward, throwing a cop out. (00:28:55)
