The Real Lent - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: While in the furniture store, Eileen's scarf changes length around her throat with each camera shot change.

Scott215

Factual error: A few scenes in the movie show Roman cavalrymen using stirrups, which were not used by the Romans until several centuries later.

Gladiator (2000)

Trivia: The opening battle scene is similar to the actual Battle of Idistiviso in Germania in 16 AD, pitting Roman General Germanicus Caesar against the army of Arminius, a German rebel who was, supposedly, a highly trained Roman officer who turned his loyalties back to the German tribes. Like the movie battle scenes, Germanicus used a flanking cavalry maneuver through woods to attack the Germans while the main body of his army pinned the Germans at the front.

Trivia: The final scene of the movie is supposed to represent the escape of the remnants of Kampfgruppe Peiper, who did indeed abandon their vehicles and snuck out of the area under cover of snow and night. Unlike the movie, they did not walk back to Germany in broad daylight.

Trivia: When the Burgermeister says the village and townspeople were terrorized "five times before", it is a reference to incidents from five Frankenstein films: Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Son of Frankenstein, Ghost of Frankenstein, and House of Frankenstein.

The Rat Patrol (1966)

The Rat Patrol (1966)

The Rat Patrol (1966)

The Delilah Raid - S1-E32

Revealing mistake: The scene of the German tank is obviously reversed as American tanks (the ones painted dark yellow to pass for German tanks in the show) have the commander's cupola on the right side of the turret. Also, a swastika on the rear of the tank is reversed.

The Rat Patrol (1966)

The Fire and Brimstone Raid - S1-E31

Revealing mistake: The German sentry begins falling before Sgt. Moffitt strikes him from behind with the rifle butt.

Scott215

Revealing mistake: Kirk Douglas' stunt double is obvious during the scene of Nemo trying to drown him and his friends as they hold on to the dorsal.

Scott215

Continuity mistake: When Ned Land dives into the ocean to save Nemo from the giant squid, his knife is in his hand. After Ned reaches Nemo, he then draws the knife from its sheath.

Scott215

Continuity mistake: Before the Nautilus rams the munitions ship emerging from the harbor, there is a land mass on the Nautilus' starboard side. After the Nautilus attains collision speed, the oncoming shot of the Nautilus shows no land mass.

Scott215

Revealing mistake: The close ups of Ned Land and Conseil in their diving gear as they discover the sunken treasure were obviously filmed on a sound stage - there are no bubbles emanating from their helmets as shown in other actual underwater scenes.

Scott215

Audio problem: After the order "Beat to Quarters" is given, the Senior Petty Officer shouts orders, but no sound is heard from him. Further, the crew runs around shouting and no sound is heard from them.

Continuity mistake: At the party, Suzanna Macon passes her tea cup and saucer to a servant twice.

Underground (2016)

Show generally

Factual error: "Underground" is set in 1857 Georgia, yet the padded baseball glove August Pullman gives to his son is of a type used during the early 20th century. Before 1883 when padded gloves were first manufactured, gloves were either not used by baseball players or railroad brakeman's gloves were used.

Sleeper (1973)

Revealing mistake: Diane Keaton's stunt double is obviously a man during the scene where Luna swings across the stream and into a tree.
