Question: I've heard that, because the film was shot in sequential order, some of the actors were unaware who the spy is until the last three days of filming. When they were offered their roles, wouldn't they have received a copy of the script to read in advance to learn their lines?

Answer: The cast would have received copies of the script but with parts of the last scene omitted. They would be given the missing pages during the last days of the shoot, in which time they learn their lines, rehearse, then film the ending. Considering the time involved in filming a movie, actors do not necessarily memorize the entire script beforehand, but do so as each scene is shot. Also, it's questionable as to whether or not any of the cast did not know the ending as the movie was based on the Broadway play.

The Juice Is Loose - S7-E9

Factual error: Joe's plan to trick OJ into confessing to the 1994 murders is moot since, having been acquitted, the double jeopardy provision would prevent him from being tried for the same crime twice, and as a cop, Joe would know that.

Suggested correction: The plan to get OJ to confess had nothing to do with getting the confession, so he could be arrested or tried again. And at this point, the civil trial already found OJ "responsible" for the murders. Since OJ has always maintained his innocence, getting a confession on tape would just be big news.

Young Number Two: Dr. Evil, what are our plans regarding Austin Powers?
Dr. Evil: Austin Powers? He's the snake to my mongoose. Or the mongoose to my snake. Either way, it's bad. I don't know animals.

Suggested correction: It's not trivia. It's just a facet of storytelling.

Factual error: When the Bounty is preparing to slingshot around the sun, the sun is burning a light yellow. From space, it would be white; it only appears yellow when viewed from Earth because of how the visible color spectrum is filtered through the atmosphere.

The Homer of Seville - S19-E2

Character mistake: Before their first performance, the director of "La Boheme" wishes Homer good luck. To anyone in professional theatre, doing so is the cardinal sin of theatrical superstition and is never done; the appropriate phrase is "break a leg."

Character mistake: Characters refer to the Dallas and the Red October as "ships," but anyone stationed aboard a submarine would know to call it a "boat."

Trivia: Edward Woodward saw the Wicker Man structure for the first time on the day the climax was shot, so his cry "Oh, God. Oh, Jesus Christ" is part him acting and part his own genuine reaction.

Carol Danvers: Did you have a rough day, Agent Fury?
Nick Fury: It was cool, you know? Had a space invasion, big car chase. Got to watch an alien autopsy. Typical 9-to-5.
Carol Danvers: So you saw one?
Nick Fury: I was never one to believe in aliens, but I can't unsee that.

Trivia: Voice recording sessions were all done ensemble, with the cast together in the same room. In order to generate the manic energy required to play the Joker, Mark Hamill was the only actor permitted to perform his lines standing up.

Factual error: When Oscar's mother visits him in prison on New Year's in 2007, a mention is made of him having taken his daughter to see "WALL-E", which wasn't released until the summer of 2008.
