X-Men 3 (2006)

Corrected entry: We see that Pyro is able to create fire to blow up flying cars. However, in X2, he says that he cannot create fire. He only controls it, which is why he always has his lighter.

Correction: Earlier in the movie we get to see how he has rigged up a small device to his forearm, that functions as a lighter, producing a small flame for him to work with.

Airplane (1980)

Correction: Thats not true. When watching the movie on DVD with the trivia track playing it does suggest that they never saw the movie, but then the trivia messages get more and more silly suggesting they knew all along.

Legally Blonde (2001)

Corrected entry: After Chutney confesses that she accidentally shot and killed her father, the judge tells the bailiff to take her away and charge her with the murder of her father. However, since killing her father was not premeditated, she should be charged with manslaughter, not murder. A judge who knows the meaning of "mens rea" should know the difference between murder and manslaughter.

Correction: The premeditation was there to kill somebody. It doesn't matter that it was the wrong person. And, this would be a legal debate among the attorneys, so it isn't really a mistake.

Nine to Five (1980)

Corrected entry: When Hart is first seen in his restricting attire (butch collar and all), Doralee says that she got rid of all of the razors "just in case." Even though Hart does not shave for weeks, we never see any stubble on him.

Correction: He used an electric razor, supervised by the women.

Corrected entry: When Mowser talks to the rookies for the first time, he explains that each of them will be assigned a partner. However, when Hightower goes on foot patrol, he is walking alone.

Paul Pepiton Premium member

Correction: It's part of the gag. Hightower is big enough to be counted as two people, and he therefore does not need a partner because he can take care of himself.

Poltergeist (1982)

Corrected entry: One end of a rope is tossed into the children's bedroom. It appears through the ceiling downstairs. The man downstairs is told to take up the slack gently. As we get an overhead shot of the man holding on to the rope, we can see the other end of it, even though that end is supposed to be by the bedroom.

Paul Pepiton Premium member

Correction: That is not the other end of the rope. That is simply the point at which the rope becomes visible as it passes through the portal. What else did you expect to see?

Corrected entry: As the contestants are starting the race, Mr. Foyt and Pamela are in a car nearby. Foyt is calling out their license plate numbers for Pamela to write down. He calls out "Whiskey, Zebra, Alpha, Niner, Fiver, Zero." However, only the number 9 should be stated with an "R" at the end so that it can be distinguished from the number 5.

Paul Pepiton Premium member

Correction: The phonetic alphabet is not set in stone. If he wishes to say FIVER, he may. He uses ZEBRA which is not part of the official military phonetic alphabet. It doesn't mean it is wrong.

The Son Also Draws - S1-E6

Corrected entry: When the Fonz appears to Peter in a spiritual vision, Peter asks him if he has ever gotten any sexual diseases since he has been with so many women. The Fonz replies: "Herpes twice. And the clap." There is no cure for herpes so you can only get it once and keep it.

Paul Pepiton Premium member

Correction: (a) There is more than one type of herpes. (b) Fonz is an idiot, and could easily believe that when his herpes went into remission he was 'cured', only to believe himself reinfected when he had another outbreak.
