Happy Gilmore (1996)

Question: After Happy sinks the final putt to win the tournament, Shooter grabs his jacket and runs. Mr. Larson catches up to him and off camera yells, "Face down." However, in the TV version, he instead yells, "Stay still." Why is this line changed?

Answer: It is an inuendo that Mr. Larson "violated" Shooter for stealing the jacket, which is changed for the TV versions to be cleaner. However, some people insist it's the same for both versions, so it's possible that later DVD releases were changed too.

Ghostbusters 2 (1989)

Question: I recently saw Ghostbusters 2 on Spike TV. when the broadcast came to the point where Winston is pulled into the river of slim, before Vigon and Ray, I noticed the river of slime looked odd. It was as the river had been shrunken down, or the Ghostbusters were enlarged. Am I crazy? If I am not, then why would they make such a trivial alteration?

Answer: SpikeTV didn't alter the movie except for editing for time and content. The scene you saw was in the original film and the way the river looked was a combination of two things, the camera angle and the poor special effects of the time.

Answer: Taken Directly from imdb.com: The music that plays during Bill's (David Carradine) death scene is the theme from the film Navajo Joe (1966). It can also be heard in the film Election (1999) during the scene where Tracy (Reese Witherspoon) tears down the posters in the school's hallway.

Question: Why does Herbie have the number 53? Is there a special reason for this number?

Answer: I found this through a short Google search. On the website http://local.aaca.org/junior/starcars/herbie.htm Bill Walsh, producer of "The Love Bug" came up with the number 53 from Los Angeles Dodgers baseball player Don Drysdale's uniform. He chose the red, white, and blue racing stripes for a patriotic theme.

Crash (2004)

Question: After the store is trashed, the daughter of the store owner arrives and starts to sort of freak out about the gun. She filled the gun with blanks, and didn't even like her father keeping the gun, so why would she care if it was stolen?

Answer: If someone stole it, they could fill it with real bullets and since the gun is registered to her father, it would make him a suspect if someone used it in a crime.

Saw II (2005)

Question: Where did the pig's head, that Amanda wears when she stabs Eric, come from? Does it have any significance that I just missed, or is it just another freaky aspect of their twisted game?

Answer: Jigsaw owns the pig's head. He used it in the first film to capture Dr. Gordon and Adam.

Answer: When John captured his very first subject, Cecil, it was in broad daylight during a Year of the Pig Festival. Therefore he used a cheap-looking pig mask to blend into the crowd while he kidnapped Cecil. John then decided (for whatever reason) to continue using a pig mask for his future kidnappings, but used a much higher quality mask.
