G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Factual error: In the underwater scene when Rex blows up the ice pack, ice appears to be denser than water in this situation. The ice sinks when it's blown up, and even if there were pieces of metal on top of the ice, it shouldn't. Some pieces the size of a five-story building have no metal and still sink. (01:43:00)

Plot hole: The super warriors that are given the venom are supposed to be fearless and without self preservation. However, during the scene in the Sahara base when they are helping to get the warheads back from the Joes, one of those men screams out in fear as he falls down the shaft, which makes no sense as the one guy did not scream in frustration when he was bitten earlier by the deadly snake and knew he would die. Factual error: During the chase in Paris, the bad guy's car is nicked by the metro train. Instead of lunging forward (in the train's direction - and left in the car's direction) the car jumps 20 meters into the air. Even though the train has a tilting front end, the impact would never create a force in that direction. (01:00:30)

Trivia: In the scene where Ripcord and Duke are in the transport and Ripcord pats Heavy Duty on the back and gets his arm twisted as a result, Ripcord makes a crack about Heavy Duty having a "Kung Fu Grip". This refers to some of the earliest G.I. Joe's action figures who were advertised to have the Kung Fu Grip.

Question: In the flashback scene of Rex entering the secret facility, what was he looking at on all of the computer screens and why would he use them later on after he faked his death?

Answer: He was seeing some of the first footage of experiments with the Nanobots by Dr. Mindbender. And the whole plot of the movie is about him using them weaponized and for replacing the president.

Question: Why would Rex, a US soldier who fought to protect his country, turn traitor and decide to become a man who wanted world domination?

Answer: He was left for dead by his own comrades, badly injured by an airstrike that they called down on his location. He would likely say that his country turned against him, not that he turned on them.
