Trivia: There is a post-credit scene of a pet masquerade party, in which Buddy the dachshund arrives dressed as a walking Teddy Bear. Mel the pug arrives dressed as a minion. "Secret Life of Pets" director Chris Renaud also directed the "Despicable Me" films which features the minions, served as executive producer the film "Minions" and also and lent his voice as one of the minions.


Trivia: When the two Animal Control drivers jump out of their van during the climax, the "Wilhelm Scream" can be heard.
