Canned Feud

Trivia: In the cartoon's opening title card, there is a tin of cat food with "Farren's Finest" on the label. This is a reference to the assistant animator, Jack Farren.

Trivia: When Sylvester opens the letter box, he sees a milk bottle with a note in it. The note is signed by "Mrs. Champin" - a reference to the Looney Tunes animator Ken Champin.

Continuity mistake: When Sylvester discovers that the cupboard door has a lock on it at the end of the cartoon, he is holding a can opener in his right hand, but after we see a close-up of the lock, we return to Sylvester and the can opener has disappeared.
