Continuity mistake: When Sam says to Bugs, "This town ain't big enough for the two of us", Bugs is holding a carrot in his right hand. When Bugs runs out of the saloon in the next shot, the carrot he was holding has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Yosemite Sam steps off the cliff during the "crossing lines" game, he is holding two guns, but when we see him falling, the guns are nowhere to be seen.

Continuity mistake: When Bugs says "Gin! You lose!" at the end of the card game, he is wearing a cowboy hat and gun holster, but when we see Bugs in the next shot, the hat and holster have gone.

Continuity mistake: When the stage coach approaches the saloon where Bugs and Sam have been playing cards, it has the words "Yellow Coach Co" and "Taxi" on the door. When the stage coach arrives at the train station, both words have disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Bugs Bunny says "I aims to", you can see he has a cigarette in his mouth, but when we see Bugs pacing himself a few seconds later, the cigarette has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Bugs hits Sam on the nose with a pea-shooter, you can he is wearing his cowboy hat, but when Bugs leaves the saloon in the next shot, his hat has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Yosemite Sam enters the saloon, there are swinging doors behind him. When he orders "all of you skunks" to "clear outta here", the other cowboys leave but the doors to the saloon have disappeared.

Bugs Bunny: Your move first, Sam. C'mon, pick a card.
Yosemite Sam: All right! Don't rush me. I'm a-thinking... and my head hurts.

Trivia: In the original cut, Yosemite Sam says after introducing himself, "I don't mean Mahatma Ghandi." After the death of Ghandi in 1948, the line was changed to "I ain't no namby-pamby." in the cartoon's re-release.
