I own this movie on DvD.

Since the long awaited sequel is finally out on DvD now for me to rent, I popped this one in again to watch it. I think I've only ever seen this movie twice in my life before this, when it came out... and at least one other time in the couple years after that. I remembered it being really good and funny. But watching it now, it doesn't hold up as well as I remembered. It's still a good movie, a zombie comedy, or as I like to call it, a Zombiedy, with some interesting characters. As is probably often pointed out, it's no where near as good as Shawn of the Dead, but it's still a fun ride. An unlikely team up movie, road trip film, zombie flick, and more.

I hope the sequel is a good movie to. But for now I still have this one, and I do enjoy it.

Mistake Status: Haven't looked yet, but this is one I for sure will get to.

Funny and thoroughly entertaining deconstruction of the otherwise stale and cliché zombie genre.

Plot hole: With people around the world turned into zombies, there is no way to maintain power plants, thus no lights should be lit, not to mention the functionality of an amusement park.

Question: If the character's nicknames (Columbus, Tallahassee, etc) come from their destinations, how come Witchita & Little Rock have different names, when they're sisters and are coming from - and heading to - the same place?

Answer: The names come from their hometowns, not their destinations. Witchita is much older than Little Rock; she could have spent the majority of her childhood in Witchita before her family moved to Little Rock where her sister was born. She still considers Witchita to be her "hometown".
