Ursula gets the trident and crown from King Triton, making her grow huge. Eric goes after Ariel, and Ursula tries to kill them, but she's pierced by a large piece of wood and dies. King Triton ends up making Ariel into a human so she can marry Eric.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning when Ariel is watching the sailors dance on the ship the dog comes over and licks her face, but she wipes off the wrong cheek.(00:19:00)
Trivia: When Scuttle discovers that Vanessa is actually Ursula, he sees Vanessa's true image reflected in the mirror, but the image we see in the mirror is not reversed, note Ursula's mole and her shell necklace are not backwards. This may be construed as part of Ursula's magic, or it's simply an animation error, which is common (I believe it's the latter).(01:06:40)
