After three days of fighting and killing more than 20,000 Persians, all Spartans are killed. As a final act of defiance, Leonidas bows to Xerxes just before throwing a spear at him, which narrowly misses Xerxes's head and cuts his face, saluting his queen before thousands of arrows rain down on him. Queen Gorgo stabs and kills Theron in revenge for rape and exposes him as a traitor. Dilios (the one-eyed Spartan) leads 30,000 Greeks against 40,000 Persians in a final battle for Leonidas.

Revealing mistake: In the first major battle between the 300 Spartans and the Persians, Leonidas is slaughtering the Persians and the speed of the scene goes from slow motion to fast motion, you see very realistic CGI blood. When the blood hits the the ground it suddenly disappears. This happens many times during this long and awesome scene.

Trivia: Remarkably, there was nothing CGI about the incredibly fit Spartan soldiers. All the actors went through an extremely rigorous bodybuilding regimen to achieve the desired image in the movie. The workout, now known as the 300 workout, is available from numerous sites all over the internet. Caution: it's not for the faint of heart.

Question: On my DVD from Thailand, when the queen is talking to the old man, just after loosing her child, it is voiced in Thai. Can someone tell me what they are saying?

Answer: The old man is telling Queen Gorgo that he will arrange for her to speak in front of the elders, so she can persuade them to send the Spartan Army to help Leonidas. He also tells her that he will arrange the meeting in 2 days time, and advises her to get Theron on her side, no matter what, as he controls the council.
