Brayker (William Sadler) is seriously wounded by a possessed Danny. Before dying, he fills the key with his own blood and passes on his knowledge and duty of guarding the key to Jeryline (Jada Pinkett). He tells Jeryline that when the seven stars on her hand are aligned, it will be time to pass on the knowledge and duty to someone else. Once Brayker has died, Jeryline covers herself in his blood for her showdown with Billy Zane. Hes not fooled, covers her with a shower curtain before throwing her into the shower to wash the blood off. Jeryline puts a bit of blood in her mouth and as she and Billy Zane are dancing around and he's chatting (and about to kill Jeryline), she spits the blood at his face and he dies. She takes the key and makes a run for it before the whole motel goes kaboom. In the morning, Jeryline boards a bus to leave town, pouring a little blood on the bus door step. Just before the bus departs, a stranger dressed in a black coat and hat catches up and prepares to board, looks down and changes his mind. As the bus drives away, the stranger and Jeryline lock eyes and the movie ends.
The Collector: Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are? I know that sounds like a line - Lord knows I've used it - but I mean it.
