Plot hole: When the survivors first make an attempt to break out towards the station they kill numerous assailants at close quarters and yet only one of them (Uno) is infected. There must be dozens of the parasites floating around, enough to infect them all.
Natasha Hendstridge and Ice Cube are the only survivors. They escaped on a train and set off a bomb hoping to kill all the Martian zombies/ghosts. When Natasha Hendstridge finishes telling her story to her superiors, the zombies/ghosts attack the base. Hendstridge immediately runs across Ice Cube, armed and ready, and they go fight the bad guys together...
Jericho Butler: Eutopia, the ass end of the universe. A penal camp for thieving cutthroats.
Melanie Ballard: Sounds nasty. But you seem to be holding up pretty well.
Jericho Butler: Yeah, well, I have many hidden talents.
Trivia: Reportedly, the film was originally going to be titled "Escape from Mars," and was going to be a sequel to "Escape from New York" and "Escape from LA," with Kurt Russell reprising his role as Snake Pliskin. However, after "Escape from LA" bombed at the box office, the script was reworked, and Snake was rewritten into the character "Desolation" Williams.
