Continuity mistake: During the final fight between Street and Chaney, Chaney's shirt rests on the car's front in different ways between shots; you can tell for instance when they struggle by the car (a moment before the shot when Speed yanks Poe out of the way). The shirt shows its buttons; a minute later they are back fighting by the car and the shirt is folded the other way. (01:24:45 - 01:25:40)

Visible crew/equipment: In the fight with Street, Chaney gets knocked down by a double axhandle to the back. When he gets up in close-up to tackle Street, a shadow cast on the wall (probably camera equipment) moves independently of him and does not appear in the other shots. (01:25:25)

Continuity mistake: When Speed tells Gandil that he's always going to smell like fish, the moustached henchman in the background is holding the coat with one arm, but at the cut he is holding it over both crossed arms. (01:21:50)

Continuity mistake: Chaney walks away from Street, Gandil and Jim Henry turning down the fight offer; the balls on the billiard table change positions between shot and reverse angle. (01:10:35)

Continuity mistake: The good guys are celebrating at a club after winning the fight with Gandil's man. Speed says "Hey, Chaney." Bronson and Jill Ireland are sitting down normally, but in the reaction shot on them, Jill Ireland suddenly has her arm on the back of the seat. (00:54:35)

Continuity mistake: When Chaney takes care of the 'in-betweens' at the end of the movie, the light is different in the separate angles with James Coburn holding the money, and so is the angle the bills are tilted at. (01:29:20)

Continuity mistake: Before the final fight, the bad guys come out of the room at the top of the oyster plant office building. They release Speed and he walks towards the stairs. The evil enforcer Street comes out of the door in the first shot, walks a few steps, then in the next wider angle we see Speed walking down the stairs but Street is still inside and comes out only a moment later. Continuity mistake: Speed has the loan shark at his neck. The night after they damage his car, he is waiting Poe and Chaney at the dock. There is a car behind him, and the people by the vehicle change between shots. (01:04:05)

Continuity mistake: When Poe is trying to impress his rather unflappable date referencing the more famous eponymous Edgar Allan, she holds the glass of wine at different height when she sighs that she surely will hear about it, and Poe's gesticulating leaves his finger raised or lowered depending on the shot. Continuity mistake: Pettibon's fighter tries to cheapshot Chaney at the very beginning, but Chaney has none of it and counters. Cut to a longshot, and you can see that Gayleen who was clinging to Speed's arm is nowhere near, and Speed himself holds the coat and hat in a much different way. (00:33:55)

Factual error: To get back the money they (il)legitimately won, Chaney fights with Pettibon's men inside a bar. They brawl near a pinball machine identifiable as a modified version of "Majors - 1941" (you can see its logo distinctly), which was manufactured, obviously, in 1941. The movie is supposed to be set in 1933. (00:37:10)

Revealing mistake: After Pettibon strong-arms the protagonists out of the bet, Chaney makes a cryptic proposal to Speed, about driving around and seeing the sights. There's a shot of the car that not only feels 'off' because it's sped up, but also sees the stand-in for Poe and the one for Chaney have swapped position. (00:37:00)

Continuity mistake: Gandil and his men leave the cage as Chaney and Jim Henry begin their fight. The weasely bookie grabs the cage above the thick horizontal bar in one shot, but his hand is below the bar in the next shot. (00:49:25)

Factual error: Chaney vandalizes Pettibon's bar shooting 8 times from the 6 rounds cylinder revolver he pilfered. (00:39:00)

Continuity mistake: When Chaney sends one of Pettibon's guys flying over the pool table, Pettibon is standing dumbfounded with a beer in hand holding it at different height between shots. Likewise, the man that is hunched to the right of the screen casts on the wall a shadow in a different position between shots. (00:37:55)

Continuity mistake: When Pettibon angrily throws his hat seeing his man got KO'd, the reactions and positions of the people around him change noticeably between shots - look for instance at the lanky aide who walks towards the fallen fighter and how he begins to walk at different times, being in different positions. Continuity mistake: Chaney and Speed and his girlfriend drive to the country festival where the fight with Pettibon's guy will take place. When they come out of the car, you can see it's exceptionally dusty. Practically covered. However, when they drive away after being effectively robbed of the fight purse, the car is clean - you can spot the contrast looking at the back of the car when they drive away; it's all grimy when the gangsters are laughing them off, and it cuts to a spotless trunk. Continuity mistake: When Henry and Chaney struggle for position with Chaney's arm under the brute's chin, Robert Tessier's right hand is grabbing the cage much higher at first, then head-high. (00:51:45)

Jim Henry: I want to have a long talk with anybody bettin' against me.

Trivia: By open admission of one of the original artwork designer Akira "Akiman" Yasuda, the movie (known in Japan as "The Street Fighter") inspired at least 2 of the most iconic backgrounds of the game Street Fighter 2: it is really obvious when you watch the fight between Jim Henry and "the kid", on the docks with a boat in the background much like in Ken 's stage. The cage fight against Henry inspired also Zangief's stage. (00:19:30 - 00:47:50)
