Corrected entry: Jessica Lange's character, explaining why she drinks wine, says, "Because it's not fattening and it's not good for me. How many things can you say that about?" Almost all drugs, actually, but not wine, which averages about 60 calories per glass.

Correction: She's being flippant, not literal.

There is nothing in her tone that suggests she is being "flippant." She is an actress and as such would be concerned about her figure and appearance and she would know that alcohol is both fattening and can produce a bloated appearance and cause blotchy skin. Ask any drunk.

I disagree. She's obviously being flippant.

Jason Hoffman

Corrected entry: During the opening credits, you see Dustin Hoffman applying spirit gum with a brush to his upper lip, to which he then places a fake moustache. Next, for some unknown reason, he brushes it on his right cheek.

Correction: He's applying a latex scar, which is visible in the next scene.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Dorothy reveals himself as Michael, his purple clutch handbag disappears while he's making his speech.

Correction: A wide shot reveals that Dorothy's purse has been set down on the banister next to her.

Factual error: I work for a television channel in 'daytime serial' production and I can assure you that no actor is going to secure a recurring speaking role in a soap opera unless a comprehensive insurance policy has been secured. (This applies to feature films, too.) This will inevitably involve a medical examination. I'm afraid Mr Dorsey's plans are going to become dreadfully unstuck the minute he drops his y-fronts in the doctor's surgery. (No, he can't find a compliant or bribeable doctor - the insurance company will always use their own people.).

Question: When this movie was first released in theaters, I vaguely remember a scene where one crewman yelled "go to commercial" and another crewperson said something like "we already had (some big number) commercials, stand-bys..." and other things in the sentence related to a big delay of the show. When this movie was recently on cable, I watched it and never found this scene in it, but remember this in 1982. Was this scene edited out in recent years, or am I mistaking this scene with another movie?

Answer: No I believe that's from the movie.
