Tomb Raider

Lara's father, before he died, was interested in something called The Triangle of Light, an object which had the ability to control time. But the ancient people misused it and it was split in two and the pieces scattered at opposite ends of the Earth. Every few thousand years there is a complete planetary alignment (ie everythiny - Pluto, Mars etc. is in line) and the pieces can be found. One day Lara hears a clock ticking and discovers it has been left by her father. She travels through tombs and outsmarts Alex and gets the first piece, while Manfred Powell tries to get it off her. Then she travels to the Arctic wastes to get the second piece, after discovering her father was in the cult group Illuminati.

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie, Lara Croft and Manfred Powell (Iain Glen) both draw their pistols and have them pointed at each others head. Powell suggest that the two put the guns down and settle it hand to hand. The two lay their guns down and fight. As the fight is progressing the cave is falling in around them. Laura knocks Powell out and begins to run for the exit and she does not slow down. As she makes it to the exit you can see her pistols in their holsters on her legs. This is edited from a longer sequence, as seen on DVD, but still a mistake in the theatrical release.

Trivia: Daniel Craig only did this film because his agent told him it would help raise his profile in the United States. He later regretted starring in it as he hated the script and called it the worst mistake of his career.
