Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

Trivia: In addition to the more obvious nods to the original (including the name "Alan Parish" being scratched into the hut), all of the statues in the world of Jumanji are modeled after the game-pieces and box from the original film.

Trivia: When the first production photos were released some months before the film came out, there was a great deal of backlash against the outfit worn by Karen Gillan "Ruby Roundhouse." Many people complained that her outfit (including short-shorts and a tight-fit crop-top) was impractical and only there to show off her body. Somewhat amusingly and ironically, that ended up being the whole point when the film was released - she's a video-game character, and her outfit is meant to be a joke on how female characters in games often wear overly revealing clothing even when it's completely nonsensical for them to do so. Gillan has defended the choice, stating "I think that when you look at that picture out of context, it is ridiculous, and that is sort of the point we were making with it."

Trivia: When the players return the Jaguar's Eye to its statue, the camera pans out to show the route the characters have taken in the movie, which mirrors the layout of movement spaces in the board game version of Jumanji.

Trivia: The exterior of the school was shot at Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia. This was the same school that was used for exteriors in the 2015 film "Goosebumps." Jack Black starred in both films.

Trivia: Fridge has the number 94 on his jersey as reference to the number used by The Rock in his college football team.

Trivia: When The Rock is first transported into the jungle he does a "people's eyebrow" from his WWE days. (04:30:00)

Trivia: Spencer has a poster of the game Uncharted 4. This film and that game both have scores composed by Henry Jackman.

Factual error: In the 1996 sequence the kid is playing a PlayStation with DualShock controllers, those controllers weren't released until 1997.
