Stand By Me

Revealing mistake: When Lardass pukes on the guy to the left of him, he moves his head prematurely, and you can see that the vomit is coming out of a jet (hose) positioned behind his head. (00:46:30)

Revealing mistake: In the train scene, River Phoenix's voice has suddenly changed and he looks older. This scene was obviously shot last, and he has started going through puberty. But in terms of movie time, he has gone through puberty in two days.

Revealing mistake: Not to say Lardass was thin, but it is very clear that his shirt is stuffed up with some kind of padding to make him appear very obese, when he is announced for the pie eating contest.

Revealing mistake: In the car race scene with Ace and his gang you can see that it is not Ace driving when the car runs over the wood in the road.

Revealing mistake: During the pie eating scene when the projectile stream of blueberries starts, the alignment is off for most of them, as it appears to come out of their noses and chins as well. The pie eating contestant next to the radio personality has their stream fall in an arc until it looks like it's coming from beneath their chin directly downward.

Revealing mistake: When Lardass is getting ready before he comes up onstage, listen closely when he drops the egg into his mouth, and you'll realise that it isn't going into his mouth, it is landing on the ground. You can tell, because you can hear it hit the ground.

Revealing mistake: When Ace runs the truck driver off the road, it's obvious that Ace Billy and Charlie are stunt doubles, because of the hair and age.

Revealing mistake: When Davey cracks the egg, you can tell he doesn't crack it into his mouth. It slides down his cheek and hits the ground. You can actually hear this happen.

Revealing mistake: During the Barf-O-Rama scene, look and you can see that everyone is puking the same thing. No one in the crowd was in the contest.

Suggested correction: This scene is part of a fictional story being told by one of the characters; since everything depicted is taking place within the characters' imaginations, this is not a mistake.

Revealing mistake: When Gordie cries after finding the body there are no tears in his eyes and his face is completely dry. (01:10:45)

Continuity mistake: In the beginning he mentions Teddy's left ear being burnt by his father on a stove. Notice how his ear goes from looking severely burnt, to not burnt at all, through the movie. Especially the water dunking scene.

Chosen answer: Its a game called three-penny-scat. I'm not 100% on the rules, but I think you get three cards, take the value of them (Royalty =10) and whoever gets closest to thirty wins. According to the book, it's one of the most boring games invented but "it was too hot to think about anything more complicated".

Answer: The goal is to get two point cards and an ace, all of the same suit to make 31.That's when you can call "Scat" and win the hand. The player with the lowest value loses the hand.
