Other mistake: Right at the start, as they're crashing, the computer narrates their rapidly-dropping altitude in feet. But the "altitude" dial we're shown is in metres. Most noticeable as they cross the 3,000 mark, when the computer voice and the height say/show the same number at the same time, despite the different units. 3,000m would be more like 9,000 feet, or 3,000 feet would be more like 1,000m. Other mistake: Episodes 4 and 5 of season 1 aired noticeably out of order. In episode 4, "The Nanny," Alex's former Nanny, Rosalba, comes to work at his podcast company, and its name, "Ajana," is mentioned a few times. But episode 5, "The Mother-in-Law," starts with the company unnamed; over the course of the episode, Alex learns of the concept of "ajana," the unknown, from his mother-in-law and chooses it as his company's name.DavidK93
Character mistake: The firefighters state that the acronym for CPR is ABC for Airway, Breathing, Circulation. This is very outdated as in 2010 the American Heart Association changed the recommendation to CAB for Compressions, Airway, Breathing following evidence that compressions first in CPR saves more lives.
Continuity mistake: The first time Black Lightning is approached by the female character with the necklace, it shows that the necklace with the charm is sitting on the side of her neck. Then a few seconds later, the necklace with the charm is perfectly placed in the middle of her neck. (00:09:39)Toxicboy
Character mistake: When the bodyguards enter elevators, they always enter last; they should be entering first to ensure it is secure. This is particularly visible in the hotel where the elevator can stop on any floor and Special Protection Branch does not have complete control of it as an express.
Continuity mistake: Blanca mentions that she has known for "two years" that she is HIV-positive. Blanca receives her diagnosis in the first episode of the series, but the story has a two-year gap between the first two seasons. So, in-story, Blanca has known her status for four years.DavidK93
Continuity mistake: When Sabrina is about to sign the book with her blood, the drop of blood keeps changing where it's at. At first it hits a drawn line, then it's above the drawn line and is right below the last name. In the third shot, there is now a line space between it and the last name in the book. It continues to change depending on the camera angle.Bishop73
Continuity mistake: Gar enters a room and leaves the door open. Throughout the whole mirror scene the door is also open both when the camera looks at him and when the camera points at the mirror. However, when he is about to leave the room he needs to open the door as it has been closed inbetween us looking at Gar in the mirror and looking at him normally. (00:17:50 - 00:18:35)
Factual error: After Dr. Austin directs the anesthesiologist to urgently start phentolamine intravenously to address the patient's hypertensive crisis on the operating room table, the anesthesiologist is seen quickly rolling the clamp on the line, purportedly to make it run faster. The clamp however is being rolled in the direction to close off line's flow. (00:20:20)Paco386
Other mistake: All the Greek name variants are used over the Latin ones - including even "Odysseus" over the more familiar "Ulysses" (who is the same person). However when the story of Actaeon comes up, it's suddenly the goddess "Diana" that he saw. But all the gods have their Greek names, so that should be "Artemis." (As indeed is used in episode 2).
