Factual error: In the first scene where Dr Strange is preparing for surgery he uses improper surgical gowning technique breaking aseptic protocols. Strange puts on a mask after washing his hands, contaminating his clean hands by bringing them in proximity to the non-sterile environment of his face. Surgical masks must be worn before the full washing of hands. Another error is that he inserted his hands all the way through his gown to don gloves. Hands must never leave the sleeves and gloves must be put on with the sleeves still covering.
Factual error: During the 31st year of the Avalon's voyage, the ship passes close to the star Arcturus, which is about 37 light years from Earth. Later in the movie, it was stated that the Avalon was moving at around 50% of the speed of light. The ship would not have reached Arcturus in the time allotted.Blathrop
Factual error: When Money puts the bottle in front of the M9 as a homemade silencer, it completely silences the shot. In reality, the shot would not be reduced to the point of silence. Even store bought silencers (actually suppressors) only reduce the noise by approx 25-35Db (gun shots are about 120 Db) Also you would still hear the slide cycle for the next round as any silencer does not affect that.Get Both
Factual error: He goes to the shop at night (after 2am) to purchase alcohol when the fire happens. There is nowhere in any of the surrounding areas you can purchase alcohol at that time. Even if he drove to Boston and back (which would take 2 hours not the 30 minutes stated) I still doubt he could purchase alcohol at that time. It's not legal in Massachusetts.Chad Nicole
