Trivia: In one of the trailers for this movie (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHWbzrCJ4nE), Michelle (Sigourney Weaver) delivers the lines, "A thinking robot could be the end of mankind. Destroy that robot! Burn it to ash." This is possibly a reference to her role in Alien (1979) where a thinking robot (named Ash) protected the alien at the expense of the "expendable" crew.BocaDavie
Trivia: As this film was originally meant to be a prequel, it contains several references to the original trilogy that were meant to foreshadow future events. (An idea that was somewhat muddled when it was reworked into a reboot.) This includes the plot about human traffickers (which was a reference to the first film) and the opening scene in which someone tries to steal his car, which is a reference to "Transporter 2."TedStixon
Trivia: New Line Cinema had tried to re-work this film into a sequel to David Fincher's "Se7en" for some time, but nobody involved in the making of that film wanted to work on a sequel - especially one with a supernatural element. It was eventually made under its original title and without any connection to the Fincher film.
