Continuity mistake: In the final scene, John Ross decides to drink some of the whiskey from the bottle that his father, J.R. Ewing, left for him. The bottle of whiskey is about half full, filled to just about the bottom of J.R. Ewing's signature on the bottle. As John Ross reaches for the bottle, it is now suddenly only about 1/6 full compared to the half full it was from the previous shot. The level continues to move up and down. (00:41:45)
Continuity mistake: When Holmes and Watson are arguing in the kitchen, Watson puts her mug and phone on the counter. A few times during the scene, the mug switches which side of the phone it's on. The first time it's plausible Watson moves it when off camera, but subsequent to that, we can see enough of Watson to tell she doesn't make enough movements to change the position of the mug.Bishop73
Revealing mistake: As the Batmobiles are supposedly drag racing at very high speeds down a road, some shots show a camera crew reflected in the fender of the 66 Batmobile, keeping up with the two super speeding cars, that are depicted to be drag racing at top speeds... In a pick up truck. (00:08:10)Quantom X
Factual error: Noticed this watching season 2, and I assume it was also the case in season 1. The entrance of the Miramar Playa has flags from various countries flying. One of them is the Canadian flag with the maple leaf. Wrong flag. In that period the Canadian flag was the "Red Ensign", or "Dominion Flag." The maple leaf flag wasn't introduced until 1965.
Factual error: The General wants to do his interview by the TV so he can watch March Madness at the same time. When the interview is about to begin, it shows a Kentucky game being played on Kentucky's home court. Teams cannot play on their own court during the NCAA Tournament. (00:40:50)illiniman14
Continuity mistake: The fruit on Miss Elaina's hat changes colors.
Factual error: When reading out the list of the day's crimes, Artherton mentions two "teenaged" girls. Use of this term is not recorded in America until the 1920s and in Britain until the late 1940s. The series is set in 1889 and the speech used by the characters is consistently very much the speech of the time - it has not been updated for modern understanding.Necrothesp
Continuity mistake: Shay is in the restroom at the firehouse after she returns from the horrible incident on their emergency call. She notices blood and human remains on her belt which she frantically rips off to clean the belt and her hands. In the next cut, while still at the sink washing her hands, the belt is back on.bnemirow
Character mistake: The chess set in Dr. Pierce's home office is set up incorrectly. When the men are set up properly, each player has a light colored square in the right-hand corner. The board as it appears in the show is set up so that the light-colored square is in each player's left-hand corner. This "beginner" mistake puts the king and queen in the wrong positions.
