Plot hole: During the climatic battle in the snow, Lyra Belacqua is about to get shot by one of the soldiers, and Iorek Byrnison comes to her rescue and is able to surprise & kill the soldier. The problems with this is where Iorek appears would have been right in the line of sight of the solider, and bearing in mind that Iorek is VERY big, wearing armour so as not to blend in with the white surroundings, and making lots of noise, it would have been impossible for Iorek to stealthily appear from nowhere.
Plot hole: When Lenny calls Homer about free doughnuts Hans Moleman is in the background (in Lenny's scene) then Homer drives to the lake to dump the pig crap silo and he runs over Hans Moleman, But he was at the doughnut shop so he couldn't have gotten to the lake in time. (00:22:30)Joel Sheffield
Plot hole: Laurie calls the police from 1987 Winchester drive, and gives them that address. Yet the police responding to the call go directly to 1960 Winchester drive - where Laurie has run to and is now hiding - even though it's on the other side of the street and several houses down. Plot hole: Harry can now see the thestral creatures because he witnessed Cedric Diggory's death in "Goblet of Fire." However, he should have been able to see the thestrals after Professor Quirrell died from Harry's touch in "Philosopher's Stone". Quirrell crumbles into dust (dying) while Harry is still conscious, watching, and fully aware of what he is seeing, thus allowing it to fully sink into his consciousness. Harry faints "after" Quirrell is dead and as Voldemort's spirit passes through his body. Nor does it only have to be a friend or loved one who dies before the thestrals can be seen - it can be anyone, including an enemy like Quirrell. There only has to be an emotional response to the death, which can be love, hate, fear, shock, etc. (In the book, Harry did not see Quirrell die, but that's irrelevant to the film).raywest
Plot hole: After Abe is shot, an ambulance shows up, throws Sherry in the back and leaves. There is no way that the paramedics would leave without first speaking to the police on site, making sure that no one else there needed medical help and confirming Abe was dead. I've ridden with an ambulance 4 or 5 times and they never stay at a scene less than 15-20 minutes.Grumpy Scot
Plot hole: When they are swimming and before the family shows up, the Wild Hogs throw all their clothes on to the side of the pool. When the family gets in and they get caught, the mom seems to see the clothes from across the pool but she is looking the opposite way of where the clothes should be.Maxamania
Plot hole: In the early part of Fred Claus, the story teller explains that when you become a saint, you become "eternally ageless." However, when you get to the first scene with Santa Claus, he is complaining about the rest of his hair turning white. If he was eternally ageless, his hair would not still be turning white.Moles1982
Plot hole: The rigged dice, while undetectable, wouldn't necessarily work. While they have the ability to turn the dice they still don't know what number the dice will land on and which way the dice will roll when triggering the lighters. Granted they can keep someone from losing by triggering the dice, they can't always make someone wins. And most of the bets that were placed (Rusty's Snake Eyes bet) are 1-roll bets, i.e. if you don't hit on that roll, you lose.dablues7
