Factual error: Near the beginning of the film before James McAvoy heads up to the house for the evening meal, he is seen looking up through a skylight when a Lancaster bomber slowly flies overhead. At the time it was was supposed to be 1935. The Lancaster bomber did not fly until the beginning of 1941. And if it was supposed to be an Avro Manchester, then they only had two engines.
Factual error: At the end of the film, SGT Angel gets into his Police car Subaru Impreza, and on the bonnet it has the writing 'Sandford Constabulary'. This is incorrect, it would in fact be 'Gloucestershire Constabulary' as established at the start of the film that Sandford is in Gloucestershire. A Constabulary is always named after the County, never after a tiny village within that County. (01:49:35)
Factual error: At the hospital when Linda is committed by Dr. Norman Roth and Sheriff Reilly, she is given an injection of a sedative against her will and promptly falls asleep. However the injection she was given was an intramuscular injection, as opposed to an intravenous injection. An intramuscular injection does not make you fall asleep promptly, unlike an intravenous injection does, as it is not going directly into the blood supply.
Factual error: When Bourne is traveling to London on the Eurostar from Paris, immediately after the 'flashback' where Marie floats away after being killed, there are two helicopter shots of the Eurostar traveling to London. The second (far away) shot shows the train passing over a motorway. The train is actually traveling towards Paris, and therefore away from London. The motorway is the M20 and the bridge is approximately 3 miles west of junction 9 for Ashford (Kent). The train would have been 10 minutes away from entering the Channel Tunnel. (00:13:45)
Factual error: The movie was meant to be set in Oregon, but it was actually filmed in Shreveport, Louisiana. In the scene that has Tracy leaving the apartment complex where Bafford (Mr. Smith) is, she is worried that she is being chased by a jogger who may possibly be Mekes. In the background, during the shot where the jogger first appears, a brown sign can be seen. These specific signs are unique to Louisiana and describe the history of certain locations, this one obviously being Shreveport.
Factual error: Right after Walter has the nightmare about killing his wife, he wakes up and turns around to see the alarm clock show 11:12. The clock makes a flipping sound when it switches to the next minute, just like those alarm clocks from the 1980s that have those little numbered plastic cards inside. However, it's a digital alarm clock and they do not make such sounds.
Factual error: The Motorola RAZR's SMS beep only happens in a very long interval - not like the one in the restaurant scene, where it was virtually just like a ringtone. Even given the possibility that it's a custom tone, the RAZR doesn't ring that long between beeps.
Factual error: Both the Arsenal and Chelsea supporters in the street scenes wear scarves and jerseys without any club logo or player name, the most generic possible, a little darker than Chelsea's real colors and with odd stripes for the Arsenal's scarves, and there's a whole crowd of them. Licensing issues or other reasons, it looks really phony. (00:57:00 - 00:58:10)Sammo
