Plot hole: Harry tells Doc Ock that in order to find Spider-Man he must find Peter first. Doc Ock finds Peter with Mary Jane in the cafe and throws a car through the window straight at them, then later throws Peter against a brick wall. Any normal person would've been killed instantly (or very badly injured), and Doc Ock doesn't yet know that Peter is Spider-Man. Given that Peter is his only lead on Spider-Man, it makes no sense that Doc Ock would try to kill him.
Continuity mistake: When Hutch tackles Starsky to the ground after his gun goes off in the disco, Starsky's badge falls to the ground beside his head. Hutch grabs it and holds it up, telling people to calm down, but when the shot returns to Starsky the badge is still there next to his head. (00:49:40)Jon Sandys
Factual error: The scene where Nightfox steals the Faberge Egg is all wrong. A laser security system must have a photoelectric receptor at the other side to detect if somebody pass between the two devices. As shown in the film, the laser beams points everywhere, so the system can't work and somebody could cross a beam without starting the alarm. Even if it was some weird system based on measuring distance it wouldn't work - if the laser hits the floor at an angle it won't bounce back to the source, it will reflect towards the ceiling.Dr Wilson
Other mistake: The video quality on the phone would not be as good as the film makes out. In fact, as far as I know, no mobile phone has that quality. The fact that they would then be using the video he filmed off the camcorder as evidence just makes no sense, as you definitely wouldn't be able to see anything on the phone anyway.David Hutchinson
Continuity mistake: After Patience overhears the information about Beau-line and is chased into the warehouse: the guards come up behind her and see a well-lit full silhouette shadow of her, and she raises her left hand. However, when the camera point of view changes to show her face, her back is up against a stack of boxes/buckets, and there is no light source behind her.Rooster of Doom
Factual error: In the scene in Costa's apartment after the failed baiting ploy, Costa describes himself as a loner who "bought a gun for a false sense of security", appeared to have had it with him during the evening, and gave the impression that he bought it after he witnessed the murder. Although IlIeana mightn't know, the Montreal police in the room might (should) have wondered about this. Even if legal, it is very difficult to acquire a restricted weapon (handgun) in Canada, the process taking one month to as many as six or more for clearance and permits, let alone courses and examinations. In addition, concealed carry of a weapon is prohibited for civilians. (01:00:25)
Continuity mistake: When Saint's men murder Castle's family, the man who tried to escape on the motorcycle is shot and falls off next to the motorcycle. The motorcycle slides and comes to rest with the back of the motorcycle facing the large deck and ocean. However, when Castle chases his wife and son, he picks up the motorcycle, and it is turned around with the front facing the ocean.
Continuity mistake: When Creasy's friend Ray is sitting on the couch at the Agency for Federal Investigation and calls Creasy an artist of death, from a side shot he eats a piece of food, licks his fingers clean, and from the shot it is clear that he is holding nothing in his hand. However, on the next shot from the front, Ray is holding something in the same hand, points to it with the other hand, leans forward and throws it on a plate, then picks up a napkin and wipes off the fingers he had just licked clean in the shot before.
