Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie, when Parker and Hunt are on the bus going to the contest, you'll see that Parker's hair is in waves. But when she arrives at the studio, her hair is VERY curly. Its not likely that she had time to change her hairstyle THAT drastically if she was pressed for time as she very clearly was.
Plot hole: When Schaeffer, McFee, and Fergie drive to the Lapp farm to kill John, the car stops on top of a hill. Then it reverses a bit to be out of sight from the farm. But then the formerly careful guys get out and walk down the open road, sporting their guns like in an Italo western. (01:28:30)NancyFelix
Other mistake: Just after Isabeau falls from the abbey tower and turns into Ladyhawke, a soldier emerges onto the roof of the tower and questions Phillipe. An arrow is then fired (by Navarre) into the left-side of the soldier. However, he initially grabs at his right-side. After a couple of seconds he correctly grabs at his left-side, before falling off the tower. (01:00:26)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where everyone is going to the Tanning Invitational, Chris grabs two Hawaiian Lei's and a straw hat from a girl at the door. He puts a blue lei on Mitch and holds on to the red one and the hat. The shot switches to just Chris and when it goes back to Mitch he has on the red lei. Back to Chris again who talks a little more then reaches over and puts the hat on Mitch's head, who is again wearing the blue lei.
Audio problem: When Wendy and Jules are talking in the bathroom, two women walk by and say "Hi Leslie" and "Hi Les, how ya doing?" to Leslie. It is easy to see that their mouths do not move in sync with the words that are heard.
Continuity mistake: When the lads run over the fire hydrant in Jonathan's father's Studie, the bumper appears undamaged. However, when they pull up in front of his house, the right side of the bumper is badly crumpled.
Factual error: There is a scene in which the Catholic high school boys are lined up to go to Confession to a priest. One of the minor characters is a compulsive masturbator, a recurring gag in the film. He is trying to estimate how many times he has wanked since his last Confession, and Kevin Dillon's character takes out a digital calculator to help him figure it out. The film is set in 1965, about 8 years before personal calculators hit the market. (I was precisely the age of the characters in 1965, and we would have sold our souls to the devil for such a device. It was still science fiction!).esolgeorge
Continuity mistake: About one hour in, Maerose is sitting at the table talking to her father. Every shot from the front shows her with her right arm across her body, but every shot from the rear shows her arm forward on the table.
